I got this box in 2021 and already built most of the vehicles. The tank sprues are very versatile and with some magnets you can use almost all parts. The Panzer IV 70 has the long and normal 7,5cm gun so you can actually field the model as a Jagdpanzer IV. The Wirberlwind sprue comes with the Ostwind turret and a Panzer 4 turret (long and short barrel cannon) included. The Hetzer sprue lets you build the option of the normal or flame version. Also parts for the MArder 1 are included. The sprue contains only one pair of tracks but using magnets here as well and you get the Marder 1 as well. Again using neodyn magnets here works great.

So apparently it was originally designated "‘Sturmgeschütz auf Pz.Kpfw.IV Fahrgestell", but Hitler personally changed that in July 1944. Apparently delivery manifests from the time still often called in the "Jagdpanzer IV 70" and a variety of similar names as everyone a bit confused

So even from the start they just called it both a Stug AND a Panzer, then people were like "but it's a Jagdpanzer, whatever man"

@@militarywargaming7840 They have upped the price of all these starter boxes to a hefty £80. Some are better value than others for sure, but I think this is one of the better ones for both quantity, and model selection.

Maybe, there are so many German atartet sets with different options. Probably best to work out exactly what you want and see which has the most of what you want.

Interesting, I know so little about this vehicle - any ideas how that aprticular one was deployed? Seperate units, or one per platoon or something?

Looks like they were made by two companies, one earlier with the L/48 (designated "A") and a slightly later L/70 (designated "V")
