I was tired after the first set. This really kicked my butt! By the third set, I had to modify those side planks. I am behind due to an obligation yesterday, so now on to day 9. Thanks coach Greg

I am actually surprised by how much strenght I have been gaining since I started exercising with you guys. I thought I wasn't going to be able to do the side planks (because I have a rough history with those) but I did! 😅😊

Day #8 accomplished! By the time I got to round 3, my arm was shaking while doing the second plank. My abs couldn't handle trying to exercise yesterday, I didn't even go for a walk yesterday, but today I could go for it. Really challenging, but still doable. But, now my abs are sore again. I had to just lay there a few seconds and breath before I could pick up my phone. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Coach Greg, you might have felt tired, but you sure didn't look tired! When you said it would be bad to drink water and breath at the same time, I had to laugh! You guys make workout videos fun, even if my abs hate me when I'm done. Lol God bless and keep you and yours always Coach Greg and Mere! Sleep well and pleasant dreams! 🙂

I had to giggle a little when I thought, I wonder if these guys stay awake all night thinking of things to torture us with LOL those planks were definitely interesting. I read the comments after I did day 8 and am happy to see I wasn't the only one to modify the side plank, Heck I didn't even know there was such a thing, haha. Thank you for challenging us ❤

​@@melissajamison1064 That's where I'm at too. So you're not alone! I did days 1-5 back to back, and I just couldn't handle doing day 6. Coach Greg encouraged me that recovery for muscles is just as important as exercise, so I started doing no more than every other day. I was planning to do this video yesterday, but my abs were not ready yet, so I gave it another day. I'm also trying to make sure I'm getting enough protein, to make recovery go better. This is the first video series I've been able to do in years. Prior to it, I couldn't handle more than walking. Some time prior, Coach Gaby did like a stretching relaxing video, and I tried it because it looked doable, but it ended up making me tired. So I didn't attempt anything else right away, just continued to do my walking. So I get it! Some of these exercises are very challenging for me too! By the 3rd set today doing the planks, my arm was shaking! I don't have hardly any arm muscle strength, so things that requires arm strength hurts quick! Lol There is no shame in doing things modified. I've had to at times because my body said, nope not today! I just have to keep reminding myself, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me... Philippians4:13". Don't let your current condition discourage you Melissa. You're not where you want to be, but you will get stronger over time. The joy of the Lord is your strength! Nehemiah 8:10 God bless you and keep you always! 🙂
