So I have a friend that I've played a lot of support with since we started playing the first overwatch our freshman year of high school. We bounced around with different roles, but we always thought support would help us climb out of sliver and bronze. Unfortunately back in the day it was really hard for us to do more than what we had already been doing for our team. I don't doubt for a second that we weren't perfect trust me. We healed great from my memory but it was really tough to assist in a dps way as supports for us back then. He settle into Mercy and Anna and he does really good when playing both. I went for Baptiste and Zennyatta since we decided that one of us should try to start working on some good damage output and heals. Flash forward we are older and way more busy with College and such but Overwatch 2 called us back in. Now it is pretty much the only thing we play together when we have time and I actually am member of the medical field now living out my love for support. We both have noticed that we are even better now and work with the flow of Overwatch 2 so much better than we did with the first game. We like to play around what our team needs now, but we still have our old school mains to fall back on. Last season we got all of our roles to gold. As stuck supports it felt really good to just have that going for us. I really want to keep climbing with my Zen primarily. I love everything about him and I have really improved with him in heals, damage, and discords. For a Gold trying to transition to Platinum do you Flats or anybody else have some good tips I could implement? I'd also love to hear from any gold or platinum Zens and see what their standard for heals and damage/damage amplification numbers are. Idk if that's a good idea to look into or not just a thought. Doomfist is actually fun to play this season. I haven't tried Rammattra yet, but he seems fun, too. Shame that each game the enemy tank is getting diffed, they swap to hog and ruin the fun.

Doom looks balanced now. He has decent damage, stun to help, and high mobility with the downsides being that good coordination and well placed traps or sleeps can shut him down. Good, but won't murder you in 1 picosecond.

Rein should get a buff/rework to have the ability to charge vertically. So how this would work would be that when you look up anywhere from completely up to say 25 degrees down from that you would change how charge works and you would enter and animation just like the one when you charge normally but you would lean back instead and you would enter the charge. While you are charging up you have the same degree of angle you can change in regular charge (left and right) but with an added dimension (forward and back) (And if you want to get crazy rein can do a backflip if you angle back at the end of the the animation like genji does with his double jump as to not disorientate the player). If you connect a pin going up (and this would be very difficult) if there is a ceiling (not an invisible ceiling) they will do the same damage as a regular pin, and if there is no ceiling then when the player ether hits the invisible skybox or presses there charge button again it will change into a “non-boosted” downward charge meaning the booster on reins back will shut off and you regain normal directional input but you still hold on to anyone you pined going up but you will still not be able to swing or shield and when you hit the ground you will do the same damage as a regular pin. If you do not connect going up you can still pin someone coming down and do the same damage as a normal pin. When you are in a “non boosted” downward charge you can cancel it just like a regular charge, this means if you want you can pin up and double tap your charge key to cancel immediately to be able to shield fire-strike or swing in the air. There should also be a downward charge where if you are in the air and are looking down with the same margin as the upward one you enter a “boosted” downward charge where you are using the booster on your back (and can also be canceled like normal charge) but this charge does something like double damage of normal pin or something in that area, my reasoning behind this is because if you use your only movement ability and you are high enough to get someone you are most likely dropping from a advantageous high ground position into a more dangerous position around enemies. I don’t think this would make rein broken because it doesn’t provide the reach or speed as something like a Winston jump and is on a longer cooldown, the distance you would cover is minimal if faster than regular walking at all, and while you are in the animation you can’t shield unless you cancel it and you are in a very predictable path as well as being a very large target it is not going to get you out of danger most times and is easily avoided by enemies by ether just backing far enough away that he will not land on you or you can stop it by booping it away, canceling it with a stun, avoiding it with a movement ability or surviving the impact with something like a Zaria bubble, bap i mortality field, cleanse and many other ways of negating the ability, and in the rein 1v1 it would honestly be worse then regularly charging because you have more time to counter charge it as you need to go up then come down and in that time you can easily counter pin causing both reins to fall to the ground like in the normal interaction.

Interesting to see you engaging more with slam and disengaging with punch. I tried to play Doom but I was doing the opposite. Now I see that it might make more sense to engage woth slam more often especially earlier in the fights for two reasons: 1. At longer distances it's harder to hit accurately with a punch. Slam has nice aoe, so you'll almost always git someone. 2. Slam can hit multiple enemies which means more overhealth and more survivability.

I'm glad Doomfist is playable finally. Before this only the best Doomfist mains could do well with him. He definitely doesn't look OP in this video though. He's just playable now and that's a good thing. Every character in the game should be playable at least some of the time.
