when the doctor tells Amy how to walk through the forest like she can see but shouts at River, I love that whole sequence, it's harsh from the doctor but the acting is so incredible, it's pure frustration from the doctor, it fits his character so well, because for once he can't be there for his friend to save her, Amy is in extreme danger, him who usually has all the answers is feeling completely helpless

You actually CAN smash them with a sledgehammer im pretty sure, but it doesnt exactly do a whole lot for you. Im trying to remember where it was but cant, somebody at some point smashes one, and it doesnt solve the angel problem. I wish i knew where that was.

The kiss is supposed to be uncomfortable, it's a big flashing neon sign highlighting Amy's issues. We see it in this exchange also: DOCTOR: You see, I'm not going. I'm not leaving you here. AMY: I don't need you to die for me, Doctor. Do I look that clingy? Amy has huge abandonment issues (that the Doctor exacerbated exponentially) and I don't think it's spoilery to say that part of the Doctor's job this season is simply to try to help repair the damage he caused to little Amelia when he abandoned her (twice). I love this season so very much and I adore Amy for being complicated and difficult.
