Not that this disproves any of your points, but Ramon Dino in classic physique has 17.5” forearms. Adds a lot to his already insane physique

I guess, it only strenghten his point. sandow looks at least 30 kg lighter than him. if not more. don't buy his measurements for a second.

Your delivery is a little stilted, but great video man. I always thought it was funny how the 1800s strong man is such a caricature in so many other types of media, but just gets glossed over by people in fitness. Super cool to have an appearance from Phil!

Thanks! I find that phenomenon funny too. And I appreciate your constructive criticism.

In his defense even academic writing was still only getting to modern standards in his time and "bodybuilding" literature of course was even more fringe. Had he written his book a generation later with more of an established standard around it would probably have been better and more on point automatically.

what in his defense? he shamelessly lied throughout the book. people be defending all sorts of charlatans

He would defeat us all with ease. Or at least, that’s probably what he’d say. 😂

Thanks! I haven’t read into Wilt Chamberlain. I’ll peruse his Wikipedia page to start.
