Test or sleep? I just started TRT (actual British NHS TRT, not the mini cycles American clinics seem to like). I'm 44, and have the natural "Test" levels of an albino deep sea fish, as a result of several health issues over the years (see comments in previous videos). Still, I agonised over the decision to use TRT for just over 5 years. I've been on 150mg Test Enantate per week - taken as 75mg x twice per week - for 12 weeks now. Haven't changed my sleep, eating, or training... and I am making some goddam muthr humpn GAINZ. I'm sure someone somewhere is choking to get "hyper responder!" out. Maybe, but one other guy in my age bracket/situation said the same thing, in conversation at my gym. Not a large cohort, I'll grant you. Even when your test is not at supra-physiological levels - mine has been tested twice, around 1000 the first test, around 800 the second. So, high, but "within range". Even accounting for serum saturation stability, and all such words, 150mgs of testosterone is still more than I would produce naturally, and at a more steady rate. It is a sudden outside stimulus, that my body is equipped to deal with, but is unused to, and so it helps noticeably with the "adaptation" part of "stimulus, recovery, adaptation" ("Iron, netflix, gains" if you prefer). No doubt this effect will settle down, but it is happening. I can only imagine the gains I'd make with double or triple the dose, but a long standing blood clotting disorder would make that a very unwise choice. I also don't really want to buy a thong, a seeming prerequisite for bodybuilding, whether excellence or mediocrity is your path (see Dr Mike Israetel). I spend some proportion of my life trying to keep my regular under ware out of the area that thongs are purpose built to embrace.

Nice recipe! Wish I saw this earlier 🤣 I got suckered into the ninja buy… 😅. My favourite recipe of a similar vein is: 200g HP or light yoghurt 100g banana 350g milk 50g WPI choc 20g casein vanilla 1/2 tsp of xanthan gum Spin on light mode. Xanthan gum makes all the difference for the creamy texture. 25P 4F 14C is nuts for 200g bowl.

His comments were extremely disappointing to read. I feel as if an intellectual in tune with his reality and sure of his theories wouldn’t bother to reply like this to people he believes are wrong. I watched his recent long podcast and “trolls” were mentioned. Again I felt even mentioning the “haters” is unnecessary if you know in yourself you are right. Everybody. Everybody. Deserves to be questioned and debated with. His response shuts down conversation about the legitimacy of his claims

In the web of absolutely terrible and clickbaity fitness advice, PHD DOCTOR OF EXERCISE SCIENCE Mike Israetel offers refreshingly fact based and transparent fitness information, while also being hilarious like to the point where if you listen at the gym you’re going to legit risk dropping the weights on your face. Can we consider that he like everyone else on RU-vid has the primary goal to get as many views as possible. Lots of people pretend to know things, lie about things, put out bad information for the sake of getting views because views = more $$ so sometimes it’s hard to tell it all apart. I’m over generalizing, but the point is that Mike is the 1 in a million you hope you stumble onto when your a stupid confused kid trying to figure out how to get big and should I get some steroids as well, that’s what the pros do - (Mike, while juiced, is 100% transparent about everything having to do with steroids and I’d go so far as to say that his videos, over time, will literally save fucking lives of well intentioned idiots killing themselves off young because not only did they do a bad illegal repulsive thing but they did it unsafely and are now dead and can’t learn from their mistakes. Anyway, I just think that, let’s say you agree with this fake, if this is the worst thing Mike has ever done, the biggest mistake or whatever, that is extremely affirming of that 1 in a million feeling, isn’t it?? Like, that’s all they’ve got on this guy, really, in the sea of all the other human sewage that is the advice giving wing of the RU-vid fitness industry? Also, I think if Mike got something wrong, you could approach him and he’d debate it honestly and he’d admit it if he was wrong, it’s evident in the respect he shows his guests who he disagrees. He engages them, challenges them, learns from them. I’ve also seen him steel man a lot of other peoples arguments who he disagrees with. Don’t let me blow too much smoke up his skirt, he definitely gives people some shit haha but it’s almost always in love.

I've lifted with dudes who have been on gear for years and you can't even tell that they're enhanced, and pail in comparison to advanced natty builders. Steroids aren't a guaranteed path to success but everyone needs sleep to grow, that is non-negotiable and there aren't even outlier examples to say otherwise.

Hey buddy. Mike didn't say "two hours per night." He said if you're an hour or two UNDER what you need every night, then adding that sleep back in is anabolic in the sense that you're missing some gains by missing sleep. Even if you are on drugs. I don't know who you are but you look like you have never touched a weight so why should I not forget your channel forever? No knowledge, no entertainment. Atleast Mike can be mildly funny. (Plus he has like 80 pounds more muscle than you.) Going back to my original point, if you're gonna make a video on something - ATLEAST GET WHAT HE'S SAYING RIGHT.

Israetel is smart and has a lot of great information, but he isn't infallible (nobody is). Another is his super controlled bent over rows with ridiculously light weight. It's been studied that lengthened partials are as or more effective than full ROM, and especially for the rows, where the back mucles are poorly leveraged to produce force at peak contraction, using super light weight is not going to be very effective. The back can benefit from focusing on the stretch and mid-range instead of letting the poorly leveraged short muscle lengths dictate the weight.
