Popular author and speaker Andy Crouch briefly analyzes what he believes was the beginning of the breakdown of not only certain aspects of society - community, strong personal relationships, etc. - but how eras like the Industrial Revolution changed culture for the coming generations. How do churches and ministries help bridge the gap that society creates with its individualism and continual push for bigger and better? Crouch suggests that through the pursuit of the flourishing of the most vulnerable, society will heal and find hope, ultimately in community with the church and with Christ. “Common good is measured by the flourishing of the most vulnerable, and the only way they flourish is in community.”

Crouch sees the POINT! "Please reintroduce personhood." (853 views only, only 1 comment. ... Why?)

For a moment I didn't agree with the setup of Siri as an illusion of personalization, and I think it's because I don't use it. I thought, "surely people don't actually think of talking to Siri as a substitute for real human relationship." But then I thought about people I know who call out to Siri or Alexa for different tips all the time; who laugh as they find out the right question that gives it a quippy comeback or a silly joke; even the noticeable shift from describing "it" to describing "her" - and I had to agree. I do still have a little hesitation to connect so much with ancient ways of being painted as a great thing to return to or emulate, but I get what Crouch is going for.

Weird comment. This isn't even close to the government owning the means of production.
