@@leafgreenbeast Didnt catch the drummer rocking out until my 3rd replay. There energies are on a whole another level, not tp mention "Flute Guy" makes ALL of his own instruments and has been and conposed with Hanz Zimmer on multiple occasions
That man made my night. Doublers often have seconds to change instruments so it’s very hectic. This man is the embodiment of that feeling yet he absolutely kills it. Not only that but playing uncommon instruments at that! My most sincere respect.
This is why the one and only Hans Zimmer had him in his orchestra! He has composed music on " passion of the Christ" "Pirates of the Caribbean", and so o and a whole bunch of other big name movies and the man makes all of his own instruments!!
facts. Either way glad the good japanese games won most of the awards with the upset being elden ring top G and god of wuss eating crap where it belongs.
@@darples1649 Literally not what the accessibility award means lmao. I also happen to agree that it shouldn't have won it - The Last of Us Part 1 should have - but accessibility in this context does not reference how many people the game reaches, it references how innovative the disability options were for impaired players.
As one of the biggest xenoblade fans I really would have been fine with elden ring winning best soundtrack I mean that games music slaps but jesus god of war winning was just pure robbery. Same feeling as when red dead won best soundtrack lmao. Game awards have never and will never understand music. They gave the award to nier one year but clearly that was a fluke and will not be the norm.
Even though XB3 was robbed and barely even acknowledged (hell, this part of the show was pretty much the ONLY time it got any recognition, despite the nominations), seeing this absolute mad man go so hard on the flute made it all worth it. Shout out to you Pedro Eustache, you were the GOAT. That intensity is exactly what this game's fantastic soundtrack deserves.
@@tcg2717They showed a couple clips from XC3 each time it was nominated in a category, and said the title each time. Since one of those categories was overall GOTY, it also got some extra clips and Pedro making that part of the medley legendary like it deserves to be. From the perspective of the show as a whole - saying nothing more than the title of any game that didn’t win a category - it’s not surprising, but it should be understandable that it feels like a favourite game for some was barely acknowledged when that’s all it gets.
@@tcg2717 You are comparing an objective description of fruit versus something being acknowledged appropriately, which is subjective. Your comparison is completely nonsensical lol
Quite famous, he plays in a few different orchestras including Hans Zimmer's! From what I've seen he's an expert with flutes, other wind instruments and more, such a pleasant surprise seeing him there.
Flute guy is my favourite thing to have come out of the show. He was just so energetic and pumped to be playing that music. He elevated it to another level. Also Xenoblade had the best music. The flute made it stand out among the whole medley.
Being a flute player and having covered this song, this guy is inspiration. And the fact that they had a bass flute is even better. Don't see bass flute as much in orchestra settings, usually only in flute choirs. Rock on flute guy.
In a game where flutes play an integral part, in a franchise where the metal riffs are the foundation all its music is built upon, you could not ask for a better shot than 0:11
This guy has worked with Hans Zimmer on at least a movie or two. I forget his name, but he is THE flute guy lol Edit: Obani Said his name is Pedro Eustache
For anyone that doesnt know, the flute plays an important role actually in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and they playing it while showing XC3 is just amazing
@@Nyangorou1 naw I mean the instrument he's playing in this clip. mini story: I know he switches mouthpieces onto different kinds of flutes in other performances, but I can't tell if he's doing that here. Shinobue is a 6-7 hole flute played horizontally and blown into a hole and not a mouthpiece. The musician who recorded on those lore shinobues is a different person and idk if they were present at this event.
@@takemetoyonk he looked like he switched to it for the part that needed it. It's either the flute in question given by Monolith or another copy that was made.
@@regulusking4299God Of War is literally a played out franchise, how long has it been going with the same bs story and plot never venturing from the beaten path exploring new ideas to implement into the game. I quit God of War back in 2015 or 2016 was boring and added nothing new at all. The fact it won means the game show was rigged and I'm not gonna believe it wasn't.
Just a little note: Hes Pedro Eustache. A famous Venezuelan Flautist. Hes also behind of some famous soundtracks from the lord of the rings if i believe.
For anyone interested in flute guy, hans zimmer, or movie soundtracks here he is in all his glory at the 9:25 mark in the videom.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-93A1ryc-WW0.html
If you respect this guy's flutework, check out the amazing collab he (Pedro Eustache) did with Eric Persing on youtube called EP-PE. You won't regret it!
I hoped and prayed someone would make a mashup and my prayers were answered almost as quick as i could type Game Awards 2022 Flute Guy!!! Thank you so much
Nice! I saw Pedro playing live with Hans Zimmer a few months ago. Didn't know anything about him, but after that performance I'm not surprised to see him here. Such an emotional player who can do anything with any type of flute. One of the GOATS for sure!
His name is Pedro Eustache from Venezuela if I’m not mistaken. He’s most commonly known after playing with Yanni, but plays for many bands and orchestras. I saw him once when I went to Fox studios to see how they recorded the music for Rio. Crazy talented musician. He makes his own flutes and knows how to play a bunch of them.
Nintendo didn't send the Game Awards judges any review copies of Xenoblade 3 in time for the judges to be able to actually play it and evaluate it. They got in contact with some of the judges as late as five days after the deadlines for their votes to be submitted. Don't ask me how I know.
If anybody is interested, look up Pedro Eustache's performances with the Game of Thrones orchestra tour that happened a few years ago. I saw him play a bunch of crazy instruments live going to one of those events, including this 14-foot long horn thing that shook my whole body when he blew in it. It was so awesome, and I was so excited to see this guy randomly show up again at the Game Awards. It's so uplifting to watch somebody as they do *exactly* what it is they are most passionate about and to do it well.
This "Flute Guy" is a well known musician. Saw him live at a Hans Zimmer Concert. He is one of the guys who worked on the Pirates of the Caribbean Sountrack with him and more. Absolut legend! :D
This guy is actually one of the best flute players i have ever witnessed. Saw him live this year at a Hans Zimmer Concert. Yup! This guy is actually one of the crew members of Hans Zimmers Live Crew!
Just saw Hans Zimmer perform live in Denver, 2024. Accompanied by the epic flute guy himself! I was so excited when I recognized him!!! The magnanimous Pedro Eustache!
This guy probably played the game unlike those who pick GOWR for the best score. I'm still wondering how mostly no one even mention GoWR to be memorable or impactful on the ost despite the game is already out unlike Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or I miss something
