The Egg Sucking Leech is a great pattern to have during the post spawn season whether it be late spring or late fall. It is a versatile pattern as it can be fished both on a passive drift or actively moving it throughout the water.
Material List:
Hook: Standard 4xl Streamer Hook
Tail: Black Marabou (2 Plumes)
Body: Black UV Ice Dub
Rib: Red Wire (Small)
Hackle: Black Saddle Hackle
Egg: Glo-Bug Yarn

I cheat, I thread a pom pom ball on the hook then glue, then tie a wooly bugger. I like the pink sparkle pom pom balls on a have # 8 3XL or 4 Xl hook in all black, or olive in black or all white. I caught a lot of great lakes steelhead on them in the late fall to spring.

The lakers love this pattern, I like the idea of saving some tying time of using the pom poms.
