FlySky FS-T6 Radio Review

I know this review was done 5 years ago so I'm was not expecting too much, but I needed a good review that provides all the basics (how to bind, how to fail safe, what protocol it uses, whether there are any gotchas, etc.) since I was asked to set up this Tx for several of our club models. You promised to show us your undisclosed battery solution, but you did not show it. Fortunately another video shows the bind protocol, fail safe, and I discovered that this Tx uses an earlier generation modulation protocol/system type= AFHDS NOT the current Fly Sky protocol that enables telemetry which is AFHDS-2A. One gotcha I struggled with for hours was the bug in the V-tail configuration that refuses to configure my elevons so that the Mode 2 (most popular in the USA) controls provide proper elevon motion when the Right stick is moved left and right (Rudder function) and the Right stick is moved up and down (Aileron function). Fortunately Christopher Heald did a YT video in 2014 entitled "FlySky FS-T6 Firmware v.2.2 Elevon Mixing" that addresses this problem and shows how to work around it using the Mixing function. Another good video on this model was done by HobbyPartz, also 7 years ago. They did a very clear presentation of binding and Failsafe, if others are still looking for that, as I was. The manual does a terrible job explaining the binding procedure, as was often a problem for user manuals this long ago. I know you said that this was your first YT video, so we need to take that into consideration. I thought your audio was clear and video had good lighting, color saturation, and focus. Many more experienced You tubers fail in those areas. Thanks for your effort. - Jim

Very good video and description. One question, can the airplane be programmed, servo direction changed etc. without any computers? This is an important issue because there are some cheap RC systems out there that need a computer to program each model which I think is terribly inconvenient. Hola soy Jorge de Argentina, y tengo una Radio Fly Sky FST6 que es muy parecida y también los menús y seteos son iguales, la radio es nueva nunca se utilizo, tratando de configurar los dual raid se me quedo sin obedecer el styk derecho y no le encuentro la forma de recuperarlo, ya reinicie a modo fabrica varias veces y no consigo que funcione nuevamente, si andan los trim de ajuste y sub ajuste, por favor me podrás ayudar, muchas gracias

Thanks for the video! What batteries do you recommend using for the receiver? I'm planning on using this tx for "peanut" scale airplane control and the receivers look a little big for that application.

Hi mate as a beginner which one do you prefer FlySky FS-T6 or FlySky FS-i6.i find out FlySky FS-T6 looks nice but performance wise, i dont know which one i should chose ..which one do u recon....?

good review. What range do you get? I have had 2 of these transmitters and the range is horrible. I have a toy grade quadcopter and it gets the same range. Do you have any issues with range?

Wow, this is one useless video, it doesn't talk about binding, or range, or protocols, it doesn't even mention the number of channels!
