It's like the shading and lighting in this new Forza game were inverted or glitched all of the time. The graphics literally don't make any sense.

They both sound wrong tbh but I'll take FM5's soundfile over FM's.

1:46 I really like those sun rays that enter the car in FM 5. Why haven't they kept that detail and the whole fm 5's lighting engine? The colors are much more accurate on fm5 and the way lighting reacts to car paint. In FM 2023 the paint on car just looks like mat paint with too much contrast. They could've just updated fm5's graphics engine.

0:50 look at the wing underneath there is chrome, and then on forza 2023 its just all blacked out, if yo look at the real one its chrome 0:57 FM5 brake lights follow all the way through, FM2023 does not 0:27 absolutely beautiful work of art. 0:30 what the sheet is that 0:31 notice how the paintjob's actual metallic secondary colour comes off near perfect to real life with light reflection, including the badge seems to have reflection and then fm2023 looks very dull and Matte FM5 at 0:35 seems to have the colour and texture correct feel for Carbon fiber, meanwhile FM2023 looks like fake carbon fiber, and also FM5 has a better visual for windows having that hazy reflection meanwhile FM2023 looks like there's no window Turn 10 has lost all my respect

Forza Motorsport 8 is like a Ferrari (or Alpine) in Formula One. From the great announcements, as usual, came a total disappointment XD

Am I tripping? Was the interior of FM8's actually like that? It looks disgusting, and muddy Overall, the car model are quite similar, the interior tho....

The lighting in fm5 is way better

Ill admit some parts. It does look better in FM8 but the weird grey look and shading puts it a step back at the same time. You know its bad when Bethesda did a better job updating their Creation Engine compared to Turn10 with their Forzatech engine.

FM5 was the beginning of their downfall. They haven't recovered since and only getting worse

The progress is sad and laughable at the same time. All these years and just peanuts improvement.

It's not FM8 but FM0. FM1 is the evolution of it and so on. Turn 10 is messing with time capsule, and y'all got pranked!

This drop in quality is what awaits Call of Duty now that it will be in Game Pass

As someone who played every Motorsport, I still have more fun on 5 then 8, seeing that 8 is currently uninstalled for the 3rd time 😅

I wonder if they're going to be using fm8 as a base for fh6. I don't have much excitement left for Forza but there I still want it to be good.

This is ridiculous, even Real Racing 3 has a better sounding p1 than fm8😂

happy this game was on gamepass. I'd be mad if I had actually bought it considering how terrible the performance was until update 3.0

Fan base is responsible for what happened after FM5... FM5 came, and it was for real built from ground up, but kids started crying; where's my car, where's my car... And everything went to sh*t. Even now more people are concerned in getting new shiny hypercar than getting f-ing game fixed.

Fm8s graphics, lighting look terrible. And I played fm7 for YEARS. Sad to say about a game franchise I have adored for so long.

The track detail on FM 5 is shit compared to fm23 your not even showing off the games graphics by picking a sunset/sunrise lighting also I see no Ray tracing fm23 looks best in most cases at night your running this game on potato hardware, bullshit comparison
