Agreed, as someone else said in these comments, this was probably filmed before the Food Theory that showed Ash's face, otherwise her hand wave wouldn't have been such a big deal. I certainly felt like it was a low key goodbye to Mirror Matt and I too am sad if that's the case.

While yes, I am a bit late to saying this. Thanks for the good memories Mirror Matt!!!! The videos with Mirror Matt, Ash, & MatPat were hilarious, and a very iconic trio. I wish Mirror Matt good luck with whatever he’s doing now. First time watching this video I watched and thought it was funny and a good video, I then watched the next GTLives one after another and realized something was off, something was missing, it was Mirror Matt. I’ll continue to watch but I think Mirror Matt MOST LIKELY quitting is gonna take 1/3 of the entertainment out from the videos.

That was the most deadpan, matter-of-fact "there can only be one" I've ever seen, and I'm including the movie it came from. (Because of '80s acting, that isn't saying much... Somber and serious seemed to be a challenge unique to the '80s unlike the decades preceeding and following them. They excelled at on-screen fun, though).
