The Scottish Weather, John, dont we love it, Monochrome was certainly the way to go, nice misty moody atmospheric images. This current weather is a bit more like it, Frost and a touch of Mist, but then the Sun comes out and it is to bright😒😒 good to see you back John.

This is just beautiful, I'm reading lord of the rings at the moment & this is how I imagine their journey to be. Rainy, misty & moody!! I just love it, job very well done :) it was worth getting soaked for!!! 😊

Happy New Year! Welcome back! I’ve been watching for your first post of the new year and you sure did not disappoint! I loved the way you used BW to heighten the moodiness of the pictures. But the best lesson for me in this video was your patience in the rain and the changing conditions. Something I need to learn! Magnificent, moving (emotionally) images! Between the beauty of the scene, the sound of the rain, the light musical accompaniment, and your narration, I felt myself drawn into a meditative/contemplative place. Really love that! Only a thought, but looking at your footage the foreground reddish/brown grasses with the touch of green behind it looked appealling for a shot..! Oh John you always seem to get the true Scottish weather. Good for dramatic shots. 😁

I recently took some shots in foggy conditions in a woodland near to me but was a bit disappointed when I tried to print them. I am now going to convert them to monochrome and hope that they are even 50% as good as yours. Cheers and looking forward to 2024.

...Top Drawer ...m Jan 2nd I think i stayed in bed all day as the weather was depressing ... eventually went out on the 3rd but it wasn't great ..

I'm sure Loch Achray was better than my living room in my wooly slippers. Lovely compositions, although I'd be going for the 'subtle' transition of colours through the mist (I presume you shot in colour ?). We had two days of bright sun and mist here a day or so ago, so although its not as dramatic as Loch Achray I may have already got my favourite shot of the year.
