@doolanbrian ah ok thank you so much for the info. What do you think is it still worth buying the prestige in 2024 ? And is it a good car for this price range? I have to think because this will be my first car
@@TenzintenzVlog the last of these vehicles was produced around 2021 or 2022, after that, it was a new model hybrid, but a lot more expensive, so I think the 2019 is a decent value car still
@@doolanbrian not manual CVT, I prefer manual but was open to automatic too if the car met all the requeriments (like mileage, general state of the car and version).
Thank you for that - What a great review. I am considering buying one of these (Prestige version), and your review went into some great detail and explains a lot. I have never owned a Honda and was surprised at just how smooth a drive this car was.
A really nice spec'd car, a very indepth review also, but can i ask one thing which you did cover but not in great detail, the sound system looks ' special ', i.e it may have upgraded tweeters and speakers with maybe an amplifier or sub ? Is that correct.
You are correct, my understanding is that there is extra speakers, we were told by the manufacturer that there was a subwoofer, but I have never actually seen its location, it’s possible that it’s located in the dash but I can’t be sure
@@doolanbrian Thank you for the prompt reply, this car appears to be the ' sweet spot ' i have been looking for, it was always between a Honda and a Toyota auto, it would have been nice to get this in an Estate with the Prestige spec, but the hatch is big enough. Thank you again for a great review which most others do not cover, the nitty gritty of what each button does and the detail that real buyers are interested in.
So odd, by 2018 all the chrome grills were gone on the civics here. Didn't matter what trim. We only get LX, EX, EX-L, sport, SI, and touring. Only 2 engines. 2.0 NA and 1.5T. our 1.5t aren't VTEC at all. Not even on the exhaust. My car is a 2019 coupe ex-t. Front grill is gloss black top with matte black bottom grill. Also it's a CVT but no paddle shift, but does have S with L as well. Crazy the difference between Ireland and USA. Also none of our models have the adjustable headrests. Our centre console is slightly different too. Plus no HDMI , and wireless charging I'm pretty sure was only in 2020 2021.
@@doolanbrian thanks for the reply, I’ve found your videos amazing when looking at the civics, I had initially watched the 1.5 turbo sport video and fell in love with that model but the prestige was too good to pass up at the price. Is there any one thing that is stand out for you about the car?
@@jackkrodger432 I appreciate you watching, the thing for me is probably the car is more seldom, and it produces good power, but they are surprisingly easy on fuel!
Best way I can describe it is a sleeper car, doesn’t have the looks of the GT model, exhaust, front bumber chrome etc. Looks more like the 1.0/1.6diesel models. I love a ‘sleeper car’ design, understated but quick 👌🏻
@@doolanbrian last Friday. The engine just cut out on me. Tried to jump start it and still nothing. I bought it at 90 km 18 months ago. Full service history.
