For example, he could've simply asked "how could on what criteria could an outsider get an FBI access badge?" That answers the question of how Sussman got it, atleast a possibility of it. So he chose to go for a no answer from Ray rather than some answer. It's just drama.

I think a fair question for Wray would be “wasn’t he responsible for the FBI’s signing the FISA warrants to pursue people of interest?” In fact, the FBI is responsible for initiating (filling out) the FISA warrant requests to investigate Americans and the FISA requests were based on evidence that Wray knew were false - Hillary paid for - documents and, thus, bad data. And all four of the illegal FISA requests happened on his watch!

He would go through a series of questionings and in the fourth or fifth time questioning the witness he would seize upon something the witness said earlier or something the prosecutor got the witness to say and re-ask the witness about it again and catch the witness in a lie or inconsistency in their story.
