Thank you for the video. This tip immediately got my 2018 F250 CD player working again. Regardless of CD, the touchscreen would display "reading disc," followed by "disc error." This solved the issue in less than one minute.
I think it's a cd changer and may have other cds in the other slots. Usually when a factory stereo has a load button you push it to fill the other slots. I actually had 2 fords with almost identical radios..the only difference was one was a single disk and the other held 6 and the one that held 6 had a load button where the single disk had an empty spot
My CD player started telling me that a certain cd was bad, but the cd would play in other players. Then my CD player started doing it with all my cds, but they, also would work in other players. Tried a cleaning cd to no avail. My vehicle is a 2012 Ford Escape. Thank you for any input.
You can try buying a CD player cleaner. It's a CD that has a little tiny brush on it and it brushes the lens inside your CD player to get the dust off. Might be worth a try.
I wish that was my only problem. The cd player no longer shows up when you press the media button and if you press the cd button it says “CD ERROR”. I can’t remove discs or play them. I can’t find anything on it. 2009 Ford Fusion 6 disc player
My 2010 Flex has my Motorhead cd stuck in it,that very occasionally will load. Then when I hit eject it tells me there is no disc...sigh. So disc is gone forever?
