I own a 1.5 tdci titanium + ecosport 2017 model. My experience has been great.... have clocked 30,000 kms and haven't faced any major issues lately. Yes it does miss out on some features like rear ac, touchscreen infotainment but it gets the job done.
Sudharson N....buddy do u own petrol or diesel. If u own a petrol, how is the driveability, engine response, highway performance and mileage. Can i go for petrol nexon
Chetan Gupta, I'm driving petrol AMT. I was also getting a single digit (8-9kmpl) at the beginning, now I'm getting around 13-14.5kmpl (max 14.5 till now). I suggest you don't drive harder
Yeah thats why sells the least right?which aspect is it best?acceleration?it has lost to nexon, brezza, xuv 300 in acceleration?handling ford has softened the suspension so its on the same footing?comfort wise its back seat isnt good?so which aspect?
Chaitanya Bulakh Throw the ecosport around a corner and you’ll instantly realise that the handling is still superb. I tried the venue and it sucked. It’s sluggish, doors feel light and the steering lacked any feel whatsoever. Nexon is still better but handling wise definitely not the best and it’s interior quality is inconsistent. I know the nexon well as my brother owns one. Ecosport feels solidly built, handles amazing, steering gives excellent feedback. I wish Fiat still sold the aventura as I would’ve bought that one without a second thought. But since it’s not there, ecosport is still the king of the segment
A much much needed review for any city dweller. The automatic version cars gain much more importance in today's traffic conditions. The EcoSport automatic is a very good car. Even though some complain about lack of rear ax vents etc the essential features are there which include auto vipers etc, Ford also has a beautiful handling ride combination which will allow the users to have a good experience if they want some nice weekend trips. The 1.5dragon engine also delivers reasonably good fuel efficiency. The AT variant also has hill hold/descent, creep, paddles which just makes the experience much better. Those who want the best package EcoSport is the car and for those who want a comfy car , typical Indian family man will go for Venue. Those who just prefer vfm has the nexon. Best review at the best time, good thoughts which were the need of the time at present and ahead. Congratulations Autocar India.
@@gamechanger9261 you my friend always trying to defend ecosport and trying to show its superior against every other car in the segment, doing that wont help you gotta admit its weaknesses if ford addresses that it would get better, blind fanboyism doesnt help thats evident in sales figures
If the Venue's connected features, Nexon's speaker system, EcoSport's ride comfort and engine comes in a decent priced car, it will be the best car of its segment...
Petrol top automatic variants of venue and ecosport are costlier by around 2 lakhs onrooad price. Nexon 11.64 lakhs Venue 13.29 lakhs Ecosport 13.49 lakhs
No competition can match the performance, comfort and that sense of contentment we get in our Tata Nexon XZ+ diesel. 1.5 litre turbo diesel is lit🔥🔥, I am in love with my Nexon. Petrol engine is worse and AMT is the worst. These other two cars win hands down in respect to Automatic transmission. I liked ecosport S 1.0 turbo petrol but it was too expensive, way beyond my budget☹️
Comfort wise Nexon better. But brother, nexon is now no more the most performance oriented diesel compact SUV. Xuv300 diesel will easily beat nexon in a drag race hands down. Although nexon's performance is better than other diesel compact SUVs like brezza, EcoSport and venue.
@@debapratimchowdhury6991 yeah bro I definitely agree with you. XUV3OO is the king of segment. My family had earmarked three cars priority wise: ecosport S 1.0 ltr petrol (exceptional case where we didn't go for diesel), XUV3OO W8 option diesel and nexon xz+ diesel. We only go for top trim or one below it. Sadly we got the on-road quotation of 14.3 lacs for XUV3OO & 12.64 lacs for ecosport S petrol. Our budget was 11.50 lacs which we could expand to strictly 12 lacs. So finally we went for Nexon xz+ diesel quoted at 11.89 lacs by Hemkund Motors, Wazirpur and boy we are not complaining!! We are loving it❤️!!
Rightly compared on all correct points. Only if Nexon had a better AT and a bit more features like sunroof, cruise control and side airbags and finally a bigger touchscreen, the other cars won't have a chance in this comparison. Let's hope Tata takes it seriously. For now, I would choose the Ford.
@@vishwajithvikas7103 I agree with you on that. And I am ready to give up any features he mentioned above but I found the Nexon AMT petrol drive quality very jerky and it even gave me a headache in 10-15 mins of test drive in proper city traffic. Tata would do better to move to CVT or even DCT than this AMT.
I dont know who she is, but she talks well and makes sense. A great comparison which helped me in making my own decision. I was completely sold for tata nexon (due to its ground clearance, suspension, safety rating, built like a tank persona & its speakers quality) but when i test drove nexon amt petrol and venue dct petrol, i realized that if i have to go for automatic I need to go for venue. Somehow Nexon lurches forward in traffic the moment you take your foot even slightly off the brakes which scares you to apply the brakes as soon as you release them. Tata calls it creep/crawl function but it feels more like a package of initial massive jump + slower movement in next couple of seconds. The lurch scares you to apply the brakes sharply and you will end up giving those head jerks to everyone in the car. In normal driving conditions this would not be as pronounced as it was in bumper to bumper traffic (which is the main motive behind me opting an automatic over manual). However Venue delivers that creep/crawl function as intended to in bumper to bumper traffic conditions which made driving it a relaxing experience. I am not an enthusiast so cant compare numbers but I felt both of these cars gave upshifts or higher speed normally, when there was sudden space created in traffic and I had to jump in to take advantage of it within 60kmph. Above that, i did not get an opportunity to drive them. I found Venue's cabin more airy compared to Nexon's with higher visibility. I test drove Honda Amaze CVT Petrol and i found the drive experience and power delivery compared to Venue and much smoother than Nexon. However I had to reject it due to lower ground clearance. I know I shouldnt be comparing AMT with CVT and DCT, but its about getting the most out of your money at the end of the day. Venue is not an outright perfect package either and hence I was struggling with picking one even after 1-2 months of research and to-&-fro discussions but its Venue now!
Thanks for a fantastic 'un Renuka..!! If possible, kindly have a massive shootout between the manual diesel versions of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Honda WRV and the Mahindra XUV 300..!! It would be truly incredible..!! Feast for the eyes and fodder for the brain..!! Sure you peeps would do a great job of it..!! Cheers..!!
Fair comparison. But anyday I will prefer ecosports in petrol. I feel venue is fancy SUV. Specially when you pay such a premium price but you don't get premium driving experience.
I personally feel that venue is underpowered except turbo variant, however built quality is good. Venue will surely struggle a lot while overtaking in single lane highways.
EcoSport is still the best drivers car....and for the looks ford also has the thunder edition and also gets a sunroof..... Hyundai's quality well, just close the door of an EcoSport the thud sound speaks for itself....so why waste money on a Hyundai??
very well reviewed.. as always unbiased from Renuka ma'am.. I am a Ford fanboy and like everyone thought Ecosport is the best C-SUV until I took a test drive.. and thought am I the only one who thinks the suspension is springy and there is some vertical movement around 100 kmph which is a no-no for an enthusiast.. thanks, this review just established it wasn't really a myth!
Hyundai Venue will be the winner..It was Predictable..Although me An ecosport fan.that car is love..But Smart move by Hyundai has made them clear winners..And Yess that dct gearbox is a gem😍
I m confused between Venue manual or automatic due to hight price of DCT. Automatic lower model comes in 10.6lacs and Manual top model with sun roof (2air bags) comes in 10.8 lacs. Please suggest
ford freestyle titanium plus petrol or tata nexon xm varient petrol konsi leni chaiye , power aur saftey ki requirment . leh aur spiti chli jaye , mere pass abhi duster 85 ps diesel aur altis petrol 1.8 hai. ford aur tata me se konsi leni chaiye muje ?
Most practical review by far, really admire the professional way it's put together with things that really matter on the bad roads such as those in Goa
I am stuck between choosing Ford EcoSport AT and Venue AT. What say guys? Which one should I buy? Should I fall for the amazing features that venue offers without the 6airbags in AT or should I go for the ever reliable EcoSport?
i see nexon doing well in hilly regions but everyone who owns an EcoSport loves the quality of this mini SUV..plus the safety of your family with six airbags.. its your choice between safety and sunroof.. venue simply looks like ignis type to me.. it suits the teenagers more than mature people
I personally prefer Ford EcoSport because of its performance and good handling. My father owns one and I promise it is mind blowing. Although Venue comes with Blue Link Technology which is just a gimmic.
You can say that for petrol but in diesel nexon shines, and BTW ford has softened the ecosport's suspension so its on the same footing and as for comfort and backseat it was never ecosport's strong point
@@c.bulakh6231 diesel nexon is better than diesel EcoSport. But for overall performance oriented diesel engine, xuv 300 should be the default choice in this segment.
Of course winner is Nexon .... 1.Build (imp self & Family ) 2. Comfortable 3. Huge space in car front and back 4. Value for money 5.Last but Very imp OG Made in India TATA...
Excellent comparison as usual, short n precise. Would love to hear from renuka the comparison of manual diesel in compact suv segment..... Autocar rocks ✌
Planned to buy Venue DCT having 1 litre turbo petrol engine. How can I ensure trouble-free CNG kit fitting in it..?? Also please help with latest CNG kit technology and suppliers..!!
I own a Venue diesel, . I face 2 problems... 1) It shakes you, rolls you on bumpy roads. I hate it, I haven't tried any 5 seater compact SUVs. May be they shake u too...?? . 2) Turbo lag sometimes and also its a challenge to get it pass a Speed breaker on 2nd gear smoothly in diesel variant which was a piece of cake on my torqui Scorpio and innova....
I think suv are made for driving experience in rough road conditions and every car enthusiastic who want an suv will not consider automatic..They will surely go for Manual. So the comparison should be between Manual variants. And Venue clearly looses in the department of comfort in rough conditions and handling which are the priority of any suv. So as my point of view venue is not the winner.
Sadly this is the problem with compact suvs. They’re so stripped of features, interior luxury and space that even when you buy the top variant you still miss out on premium features. Despite paying 13 Lacs (on road) you are still not getting bang for your buck. That an i20 or Jazz would give. For 13L you can buy the mid variant of the Honda City Automatic V. Which is far more spacious and get a luxury feel. I feel manufacturers are pushing consumers to buy creta, Hector and Kia Seltos if they really want features 🙁
Nice comparison & very well explained mam. Venue is well priced & so it's a winner. Please do make comparisons between diesel & petrol manuals of all these cars In Diesel manual nexon is a clear winner
