Thank you! I did not see this in the quick guide for the Edge. I wish you could watch RPM, coolant temp and average MPG in one window. I notice i get better mileage when I monitor the average MPG. The 3.5 is one very nice motor.

You're welcome! Oh the old 3.5L, that was a great engine. Great point about the better mileage when watching. Eco Coach mode was designed for people who like to get the best fuel economy

@@CarsWithSteve Mileage minded? I just got this 3.5 Edge, traded in my 2005 Dodge Magnum 5.7 Hemi. Now I get decent performance with reasonable mileage. Those Hemi's are just too easy to abuse and got about 17mpg if I kept my foot out of it. The Magnum was far more comfortable than this Edge and had a lot more power. Don't think I'll be getting speeding tickets with this though😂

Haha yeah just a bit of a difference between the two of them. If you want a bit more power there's always the option to turbocharge that 3.5L

I just rented the Titanium Edge in BC for a short vacation. I love it however the light control which you didn't go over confuses me. Can you do a video about that? This would actually be the only Ford car I would consider buying. It is so well made and solid. It handles beautifully. I think the fuel gauge is weird. The shading doesn't seem to tell me anything about how much gas I have left.

I've started covering it off more in newer videos on the cluster but there are really 2 modes that I'd recommend using: Auto Mode - stay in this mode most of the time - it will turn on the necessary lamps depending on how bright/dark it is outside Headlamps - keeps headlamps on and will allow you to lock on your highbeams instead of having them auto adjust on/off

That's for traction/stability control. Useful if you're in slippery conditions to avoid spinning out

What is the cause of malfunctioning/no longer working buttons? Volume up was not working, volume down turned up radio. Now only phone on mutes radio. Nothing else works. Happened after battery died, down to 6% life. Is this an electrical problem vs a fuse issue? Help... Found fuse box inside car, behind the drawer to the left of steering wheel. There's no way I can access it. It's tilted towards radio side and in about 5 inches. Bunch of wires near it as well...

There are a few things it could be.. Might be a defective clockspring or module issue. An easy thing you can try would be to disconnect the negative battery connector for 10 mins to do a full reset to see if it's just a software glitch. But it that doesn't work it's most likely that clockspring or module

@@CarsWithSteve fuze box behind drawer, can't post picture, unable to reach, near wires. No noise in steering wheel, horn works. Cannot access anything, buttons going. Speak icon is mute, as was volume down was up. Sounding like a fuse, but can't reach. No other idiot lights going off. Would this, not fuses, be under a warranty???

There have been a few people in forums with similar issues in older Edge models - it was tied to one of the 3 things I mentioned earlier in their cases. Maybe a chance that it's a fuse but if it was a blown/burnt out fuse none of the functions should work at all

@@CarsWithSteve one by one failed till battery was at 6%, replaced battery 4 months ago. I'm perplexed, fuses not under warranty, but is the clockspring? Steering wheel has air bag symbol as does under it. How do I access fuse box if its unreachable due to position? Want 2 rule it out b4 tearing steering wheel apart.

You'd have to call up your service dept to see if it's still covered. Warranty is based on the drive off the lot date of your Edge when it was new. This video from another channel shows off how to access the fuse boxes: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l8I5mepv4dk.html
