I'm glad this is fixed...it was driving me crazy. :) If you feel a pop, loose, clunk, clang, not right sensation in your steering wheel then this is the part you need to cure it. #trucks #superduty #diesel
I just replaced mine after replacing everything and more and WOW, sir, you are a blessing, that clicking/popping thing on my steering wheel and gas pedal is gone, thank you very much
A noticeable pop in the steering wheel that can be felt in the accelerator pedal. My 2019 F350 SD has been doing this since 24k miles. If I turn the wheel to the right and his the accelerator, a sharp noticeable pop.
I recently bought a used 2019 F350 dually. 110k miles. I have this issue also. Clunking in some turns, going over some bumps, sometimes when I accelerate and wheel turned, etc. I also feel it in the accelerator pedal. I’m going to check this on mine asap. Thank you for the video!
Took mine off to inspect it, felt a very fine dead spot in the upper joint. After putting it back on, now have a pretty significant knock in the colum at Freeway speeds. Craziest stuff..... 🤷 UPDATE: Replaced the shaft and just like 4-Low. Magic all pops, knocks, whatever you want to call it..... Gone. Also this is shaft #2 for my truck. Saw in the service history that original owner had it replaced at 27k miles. I currently have 40k. I don't beat on the truck either. I think some company needs to make a stronger shaft.
mine does too especially on slow swooping corners too the right, It feels like a sway bar link or shock rod dampening issue almost. Its BS mines under warranty and ford keeps telling me oh we dont feel anything its normal
My 2019 superduty has had this slight clunk in the steering wheel in right hand turns only for 3 years. Dealer or anyone else can never feel it, drives me nuts. Whats a dealer charge to replace this? Can this be catastrophic if not replaced?
Why not demonstrate the noise, so we will know? It would’ve been more helpful. That noise can be a few things, the steering gearbox, steering linkage, might need a stabilizer to strengthen the front end. I have a noise as well and was curious what you heard. Thanks.
