I have a 2020 we 2wd 2 peice driveshaft the same kit...shakes at highway speeds..has shims installed they do not sit flush with the flip bracket at the front towards the the cab is that incorrect?
Love this subtle lowering. I’m a realtor and adjuster and working in the city with a truck to lowered would not favor me although I would prefer it. Yet to many inclined driveways, I also tow a boat here in Miami, Fla and soon a small camper. Lol had to finish paying the boat, now two years ago before I can buy the camper lol. Seeing professional clients and taking them around would be more appropriate as well. I truly appreciate your vlog have a great weekend. God willing will own my first pickup 2020; I currently towing with a SUV Tahoe.
Nice video. There are others for install instructions so that is ok. Thanks for the note about having to slot the front A-arm holes if you go 3"+ in the front.
Yeah I bought the 24 lowering kit like you put on this truck here in this video but you saying that we don't have to slap that alignment adjustment Bolt doing it the 2 in the paperwork with my kid it says you have to do it now I want to know before I get started here thank you
Would it be a issue to double nut the U-bolts and cut off the access threads flush with the second jam nut.....just so you don't hit or bend or screw up the threads on the u-bolts
I have a 2017 Raptor. I want to drop it for the summer. Swap front struts and do the rear flip. Any advice? I cant seem to find anything out there. Thanks.
Can i still run a side exit exhaust with this kit ? I see the lift hanger in the front of the leaf spring seems to be in the way on the passenger side where the pipe would typically exit.
I’ve been seeing that people had problems with vibration with a 2/4 drop and I’m wondering if I need to change my drive shaft before installing the 2/4 drop
Hey I'm putting the two four drop on my truck and I got The Three Degrees I'd like to see a picture how they what it looks like a mounted on the truck cuz mine is like it ain't like stacked on top of each other that kind of spread it out and I was just wondering
I have same kit on my 2020....how much pinion Degree did this one have to shim??..mine shakes and rides like shit from the rear above 50 on most roads I have a 285/45/22 tires in it...there's shims installed but the diff looks almost level...any input is appreciated
Hi, I'm way too far from Houston area New York city to be exact, I will prefer no to mess around with the suspension.... there's any shop or connection to any shop in the area that can be trusted to do the job the right way, I don't mind to drive 4 to 6 hrs, thanks
Did you have to remove the bed to do the rear hangers? I had to do that on my old sierra. Also i love beltech just got a 2019 f150 and i plan on doin this next week
Seems like every drop I seen on a Ford is never leveled? If it’s not the back. It’s the front that’s higher. I just bought a 2012 and wanna do a 2/4 drop, but from what I see it’s not actually leveled?
I am picking an 18 up 4x4 v8 my only question is do you remove a leaf or can I put helpers I have a few trailers airstream also just want to make sure it won't bottom out or does anyone bagg tears with slam air
I have a 3/5 Belltech drop kit. What did you use and what is the best way to slot the hoe for alignment? Any tips on this would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.
Hey I got a question I installed the 3/4 kit on 2018 f150 4x4 on the front but so far I don’t see any drop at all, 36.5inch to top of fender before and 36.5inch after! Is it supposed to go down after driving it around? So far I’m not to happy with the kit!
@@ronriehle1337 Thanks. A stopped the video and now see the welded on piece that slots with the center of the OEM mount!. If you don't stop the video it is not apparent.
Hi, I a shop install a 3/5.5 Belltech lowering kit on my 2017 f 150 extended cab and there is now a vibration when gassing hard from stop and around 20-30mph. goes away after 30mpg. seems worse and better some days. I took it back 3 times they tried 2/4/6 inch pinion ships and nothing worked. They said there was nothing wrong wit the kit but my truck. It didn't have the vibration before I lowered it. took it to the dealer and they told me that if I wanted my truck lowered I would just have to deal with it or return it back to stock highlight. Have you herd of this issue before and do you know what may be causing it. Any info would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance
Just buy 2" drop/leveling shackles. They take maybe 2 hrs to install, and are WAY cleaner/safer than trying to alter the leaf spring assembly. I believe I paid less than $60 for a set for my 2012.
One huge issue I ran into that wasn't covered in this video. If you're doing a 4x4 use the 4x4 instructions. My kit only came with 2x4 instructions so I thought no big deal, must be the same. WRONG. You will be doing the front end over again like I did. When using the rings for lowering the truck in increments, with a 4x4 the drop will be double that of a 2x4 with the same amount of rings. Also it's a lot easier on a 4x4 to cut the strut to lower control arm bolts off than fight to get the arm down enough to get the strut out. If you plan on maybe reusing the stock strut don't do it. oh edit here. Also belltechs table for how many rings equals how much drop is way off. I wanted 1.5 so I went to the tables, got the rings I needed and was a full 5/8 off on one side and 3/4 on the other lower not higher. Yes the product is nice but the fuckin instructions need a review. I have a single cab 4x4 but nowhere did it mention any differences between a crew or super cab.
I have a 17 4x4 supercrew and just want to do the 2 inch drop in the front on the belltech struts. How many rings will it take to accomplish this correctly? Thanks
@@peterbeertema6494 yes and it says 2 16mm and 1 8mm each strut. When the shop installed them they said they lowered 2 inches but it looks like 3 inches. Now I have to raise it up. I have 2 16mm rings left and 6 8mm left from the strut kit so I Don't know what they used. If I knew how many rings that came with the kit would help but I can't find out. Thanks for replying back.
@@kipconner5143 I know I put an 8 and a 16 in following the 2x4 instructions and just shook my head. I think I ended up with 3 16 mm rings per side which gave me a 2 1/8 on drivers and 2 1/2 on passenger side. I never did see 4x4 instructions to see what they say. All in all I don't feel comfortable giving you advise because I also have the flip kit with matching shocks and I'm single cab short box as well. There may be a f150 lowering group on facebook that will have a more trusting answer. I do know that doing it over again doesn't make it more fun. Cheers
