My CZT is comfy as any car I've tried to far and comfier than many.

I had one, it was a catastrophy. Mitsubishi is starting to becoming something it wasn't for 15 years. I could testimony that a Lada is more reliable that my Colt. And the aftersale of Mitsubishi remembers me of Nazi Germany in WW2.

Simon John Hinton - good comment bro you obviously know your oats. I'm a general car enthusiast over here in New Zealand, I'm a truck mechanic by trade. Rode motorcycles for a decade during the '80s until I had my near-death motorcycle accident in 1990 when I was 26 - it cost me my entire left leg, hip joint, and left side of my pelvis, plus I suffered numerous other internal injuries as well. V fortunate to survive. Ever since I have suffered the strongest nerve/neural/neuroma pain around where surgeons operated and believe me the pain is both indescribable and can be farking strong/intense - controlled by a cocktail of the strongest legally prescribed pain meds and exercise/diet etc. I was born pretty much a petrol head...as soon as my father knew I was capable of operating his reel motor mower I was mowing lawns - though he never allowed me to cut the edges...I didn't have the patience for that kinda crap anyway. Life to me has always been about speed & power. Simple philosophy I'd have thought really. Fart-assing around in an office was never going to be my career. I totaled a chain trike that was a hand-me-down from my older sister. Power-slides were my favorite trick - however after buckling both rear wheels to write-off level my father decided he would teach me a lesson and so he hung the chain trike from the rafters of his garage so that when I looked in the garage for it - I glanced up to see it hanging from the rafters completely out of my reach. Now I wasn't ever the sharpest knife in the drawer - but I could never fully understand why my father did that...even now at 55 I still can't - but I know one thing - whatever he was trying to achieve - it didn't work. Back to the topic before I bore you to sleep. My wife and I drive our 2009 Mazda 3 SP25 Limited and while at first I thought it was quite a peppy hatch - now it simply bores me. It's greatest asset is its Bose sound system. I'd love to trade it on a VW Golf GTi, or a BMW 130i hatch with the 3.0L straight 6cyl - I really like the rear wheel drive too. I also like the Audi A3 with the 2.0L turbo engine (same as in the Golf GTi) and 4x4 drive. I have a soft spot for the Toyota Blade Master G however apparently it doesn't do high speed cornering well at all and so that's a definite no go for me. Love my cars to stick to road like glue when high - well let's settle for higher speed cornering - that is a must. I've heard anecdotally the Golf GTi is a little stiff on the open road...hmmm. One thing about our Mazda 3 SP25 Ltd is the unbelievably loud cabin noise from the front driving on the open road - and of course the more coarse the chip on the road - the louder it becomes...thank heaven for smooth asphalt!

£400 remap on the colt got me 200bhp with no other supporting modifications lol

Insurance will be quite high on anything for a first car, so may aswell get something you enjoy. Absolutely love my ST.

Cheers, sounds good but for now as a first car I don't think I'll be focusing on anything nippy or in a higher insurance group😅 I do know there's a Ford Fiesta flame 1.2 that looks quite nice and they are very cheap.

i know this comes late but he said 190nm. i have a fiesta st with 220.000 km on the clock and had it on a dyno it had 156hp with 193nm just with an open airfilter and that engine is very good its the same as in the mazda mx5 nc and was also used by lotus and caterham for the elise and super seven. with some tuning you get these engines to around 200 hp and 8000rpm plus they are super solid

I read your reviews on the colt turbo how long did u own it was it stick did you ever get any problums from it

@@ghost_535 had it for like 8 years.. very reliable car. Only problem that needs an aftermarket suspension and the gearbox can't stand a lot of power..

@@panaprod I see there 150bhp and you can remap them to 200bhp is remaping the expensive had you yours done in ur opinion are they a good reliable car the gearboxes are weak in them are they very bad ? I was thinking of buying one the ralliart model 1.5 turbo 2009

Andrei Bran More reliable too , I’ve had a Colt for 12 years now no major issues , have owned a Polo in the past and had gearbox failure and fuel leaks , as for the Fiesta that’s just a Fiesta with a Mondeo engine lol

Ryan Skuse Colts engine is best it’s basically a mini Evo

My parents are looking for a car and have had their eyes on the Colt. I've talked them into the Fiesta or Suzuki Swift. Strange, reviews have talked positively about Mitsubishi's realiability but I've read numerous comments from owners that tell the complete opposite. Always better to know from people with firsthand experience. Thanks
