Number 2 became unstable

Mk4 is a tank for the time. You could look for an frontal crash accident between a van (mercedes sprinter i think) and a mondeo mk4. And the van is destroyed. Both occupant of the sprinter died.

@borjaevo There is also a crash between a Citroën C5 Around 2008 and the big Citroën camper brand new model van. And the footwell in the fan failed, any faster and the car would have tore right through the van. These 5 star ncap 2 tonne cars are very dangerous to vans now. I knew the day would come eventually.

I got a 2012 mk4 facelift estate 2.0 Tdci and was looking at replacing it with a 2020 face-lift 2.0tdci also estate...but...in every respect other than "features " the mk4 was better...the mk5 felt claustrophobic (the big center armrest doesn't help), the boot to my horror was smaller (more like a focus estate) with a speaker eating up the right side cubby and the spare wheel eating up room from the bottom which was just crazy to see (the cover lid for the spare wheel was literally protuding up into the boot, no more flat load lip, madness)...in the end I did test drive it since it had 10 hp more than my mk4 but it felt more sluggish (I guess the 10hp+ can't compensate the 200kilo weight gain or the auto is probably just that much more shittier than my el manuel)...also the steering felt weird, couldn't put my finger on it...later someone told me with the Mk5 they switched over to electric steering from hydraulic, so fuck you Ford 😆...I guess Ford's biggest mistake with the last Mondeo was designing it for the US market and then just chucking it at Europe's Ford dealers. Maybe the Mondeo would still be alive like the Passat if the mk5 was another purebred European car (with an American badge 😆 )

Horrible driving position, too much noise. Subframe rust

i have 2004 and yeah too much engine noise. not to much road and enviroment noise but that engine noise is loud inside
