I had a panther black ST220 the rare saloon version. Wish I had had the room to just store it. I made a couple of grand on it when selling but nothing like the appreciation they have now.
Your Tail lights are so similar to the Mondeo Metrostar, the variant Ford sold in Taiwan, was tempted for a while to import a set for my Mk3. The Duratec V6 is a bulletproof engine, I have owned two 2.5L versions since 2006 and have had my current one for 6 years and they have been driven like they were stolen almost constantly lol. you never, ever get bored of that V6 rumble and oh boy do they scream when you ring its neck, everyone turns to look and then has that WTF look when they see its a MK3 Mondeo making that noise ha ha! No useable boot in mine, I have a system and four 12's live in my boot along with 3 amps :) Never understood why they didnt put in the 170mph clocks in the 2.5 like in the 3.0L, mine will do 141mph and when its there, its off the 150mph clock showing 152 because of the over read all speedos do....
@@blkedge220 No, not really, im on Talkford though. Mine is a 2.5L V6 Ghia X so have a leather interior and something i cannot live without, an electric sunroof. We both have the 'cheap' tax, did you know that both the 2.5 and 3.0L pay almost 700 a year if they were registered after April 2006, makes our 395 seem affordable lol! Only have two videos relating to my car, this one is my fog lights wired to flash in a alternating wig wag pattern: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wtHLJ_5ano0.html And this one is my mondeo stretching its legs, its slightly up hill and ran out of road before it reached max speed: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w0wnhkgGTfc.html
When I was looking for my st in 2018 I always used to wonder why the later ones(post April 2006) were cheaper. Then I did some research and found out the difference in taxes. Thats why I got my 54 plate. I think the higher tax ones are like £700 per year now. I've had quite a few Mondeo MK3 before the 1st one I had was early MK3 ghia X (X reg) sunroof and heated cream leather seats etc. That same year my brother and one of my friends spent £1000s on their mercedes cars and didn't have half the gadgets I had. I remember talkford, is that still active. I learnt so much from that website about these cars. I am on the mk3 Facebook groups more nowadays
@@blkedge220 The high tax is what keeps me away from a newer Mk3, mine is a Dec 2002 with 79,800 miles on it. I think you have heated AND cooled seats dont you? mine is pre facelift so mine only heat. I hate turbos but I will be forced into one when my Mk3 needs to be replaced, I will get the Mk4 Titanium X Sport 2.5T Which is a 2.5L straight 5 Turbo (Same engine as the 2006 Focus ST) with the same power as the ST220 but for some reason its the same tax as us despite coming under the new tax rules. I want another V6 but time is against us and our V6 mondeos are slowly becoming an endangered species. Some of the Titanium X Sports got a sunroof as an option, sunroofs are getting so rare now so im pleased I will be able to have one in my next car! Yep, Talkford is still going, the Mk3 community on it is getting smaller year by year but still reasonably active.
Yeah I know about the mk4 2.5t. if I can find a decent low mileage one that should be the next car. I think it's lower tax coz it's a few point below the co2 emissions level for high tax. Only heated seats in the recaro seats. Your right the community is getting smaller and parts are getting rare.
@@blkedge220 your like me haha love it too much and can’t part from it . I decided today I’m getting rid I’m sat now thinking no I can’t do it haha too good cars
Yeah, you can ask me. If you get one and your on Facebook you should join the st220 enthusiasts group they are very helpful and have way more knowledge on these cars than I do.
