My 1997 F150 took only 5 cycles of the key, but the rest of the instructions were absolutely spot-on! Now I have 2 functional key Fobs thanks to you and this video. As a former Journeyman Mechanic, I find all of your videos a tremendous help to this old dog.
As usual always perfect instructions. Thank you. My friends (who know nothing) think I am a Master Mechanic because of all of the things I have learned from you.
Thanks for the videos, just a side note, we bought a 2011 Taurus recently that annoyingly came with one IKT. I bought a key from a locksmith and had them cut and program it, then bought a standalone FOB online and the followed the instructions for programming to the car and it worked flawlessly. You said if your car had an IKT, you couldn't program a standalone FOB, but it worked in this case. Thanks again.
😂 I was cracking my head thinking why the second fob did not work. Thanks for clarifying you need to have all the fobs handy at the moment of programming
Thanks so much. I kept trying to program the two I have to keep an extra FOB in my purse, for when I lock my keys in the car, but I was only able to get one programmed. That is until I watched your video. When I did both of them at the same time, it worked just like you said. Thanks again.... btw: this worked on my 2002 mustang.
After attempting a few times (as indicated), I was able to program a FOB I got from a junkyard. The tips were very helpful to understand the process. I consider your videos very useful and highly informative. Keep on doing more of them.
I got a stand alone key fob similar to the one in your video but the programming is different from the one you have shown. I tried doing it your way at first but it didn't work. I noticed that at the 4th cycle it chimed. So that's what I did. Instead of 8 cycles I got to program it using just 4. I own a 2012 Ford Focus by the way. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial, my FOBs are now programmed. I bought replacements a month ago for my 2008 Ford Expedition and the instructions did not work which frustrated me to the max, nothing worked. I was seconds close from buying another pair. I saw your video and immediately I'm programmed and ready to "lock" and "unlock," it did the trick. Thanks!
"PFM" as my avionics mechanic dad used to say (pure f#ucking magic). The only issue I ran into was I did the 8 ignition cycles too slow. You have to do it fast, as shown. Thanks Brian!
Thanks! I just programmed 2 additional keys for my 2015 F550 using Forscan but the fob portion of the key still wouldn't work. I followed your instructions and got my 2 new key fully functional! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for posting this video. I had learned how tonprogram 1, but did not know tht all others had to be programmed at the same time. This was very helpful!!
Cool video bro I was trying to figure this out with my 03 Explorer I saw your video and it worked great 👍🏼 thanks keep up the good work and as always keep the videos coming 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌️
Mine went into programming mode but not responding to any of the three remotes I tried to program a. Even the original remote not responding. Could the security module went bad?
Question. Im not sure if you or anyone could answer this but, im doing the programming step by step and im still getting no response from the key fob. Is there a fuse that could possibly be blown thats responsible for picking up the remote fob signal? If so, what would i look under to find said fuse?
Sir Great Video, Question on a 2005 Ford F150 STX with just a transponder only key no electrics locks can you add a new key with out taking to the dealer , thks
Great videos. My parents just gave me their 03 Expedition and a lot of the problems it has are exactly what your videos talk about. I am having a problem with the key fob. I can program the remotes but eventually they lose program. The last time I did it, I got out of the truck and lock Ed the doors with the remote handed them to my wife and when she tried to unlock the truck the remote would not work. Any thoughts? Could really use you help. Thanks.
I just have key fob was working except the liftgate button was doing alarm, i followed your video 8 times switch on /off and still the same and i got “couldn't program integrated key“ after starting my car!!! Any help as it’s annoying
I have a F150 2003 that I lost the only working key for it. I have a spear key that can unlock the doors and turns the ignition but it doesn’t start. Can I buy this key with chip and program it myself or I need a locksmith? Thx
2007 F250 super duty, My key fobs have remote start. Can I add additional fobs? Do I just need to do the originals and the new ones at the same time ??
We have a 2004 F250 that had been stolen and keys lost. So a new ignition and key have been installed. I purchased new key fobs from Amazon and I cannot get the fobs to program. Any suggestions?
With my 2009 Flex, as soon as i place a battery in the key-fob it makes the car alarm go off and locks spasm instantly. Will performing this action solve my problem?
What if your truck doesn't have key fobs it just has a key? Do I still have to follow this procedure I don't have electric doors or anything electrical
I'm not sure I have the right key fob. 2006 ford focus. It's not square like the ones I see being used. It's vertical with the lock button on top, unlock below it. Then a "hold " button. And at the bottom a red alarm button
i bought a used 2004 f150 can the transponder code be changed for new keys in case someone else might have a key to the truck. they only gave me one key. thanks
Thomas Butcher What they can do at the dealership is erase all known keys and start fresh with the new keys you provide. You will need at least two keys for this procedure.
Hey thanks for the tip as always. I have a 2011 Escape and have a different key fob issue. Key fob works but takes most times 10-15 presses for it to lock/unlock the car. I have another for and has the same problem. Changed the battery in both. Have you seen this before? Is there an easy solution to this? At this point it seems like the issue is with the car and not the fobs. Thanks!
Hello Mine is Ford Fusion 2012 se While programming two new key fobs, something went wrong probably I pressed other keys than the lock key. Anyway, now the original key works fine. but the problem is : the the light that indicates pairing mode is flashing every 2.5 seconds, if the original key is entered it stops flashing and can be turned on. BUT if the misprogrammed key is entered its flashing pace increases to ~ 3 times every second. The newly misprogrammed keys can lock/unlock doors but they will not open the trunk or turn the car on. I tried the following but neither worked 1- Discount the battery overnight 2- switching the original key on/off and Entering programming mode and let the car exit pairing mode by itself. Please help, is there a way that let me exit the pairing mode and/or reprogram the new misprogrammed keys?
do you have a video how to program a 2-way key with push button start? i am trying to program a DL3Z-15K601-A to a 2013 ford explorer push button start and could not make it work.
I have a 2008 Ford Taurus my original key stripped where the chip is so I bought a new key and it don't come with a fob, will this work for the key without a fob?
and if it still won't work? I can get 1 to program no problem but any other one won't do it. I've tried Dorman aftermarket and even found a Ford direct replacement on Craigslist. my second one WILL NOT program
I've the same problem. Procedure is open - 8 keys cycling stopped in proper position (confirmed by locks) then the system is not responding to any one of Fob's which I've got... Even the one which is working properly. How to erease all fobs ? I live in Europe/Poland - Ford dealer says there is no such veihicle like Expedition... Any Ideas ?
I have a 2017 transit 350 I want to have a flip key, found on ebay but claims it's for a 19-20 transit, for 30.00 I got it but it wouldn't program are the modules or something different between 17 and 19-20? I cycled the ignition 4 times ending in off like the owners book says heard the chime but nothing when I press the fob button, press a button on the existing kit and it works like I'd expect, just not for the flip key. Is there any way to get the flip key to work, maybe with Forscan or a procedure or something?
Quick question I know this is an old video but this just happened to me. I went to start my wife's 2010 Lincoln Navigator but it did not start because it was my 2011 Ford F-250 key which looks the same and now my ford key unlocks and locks the SUV how can I quit that from happening I tried reprogramming the SUV keys but that did not work
