We were so shocked in Southeast Asia that Ford took out the e-shifter in the wildtrak here. They started a new called StormTrack and there is nothing that makes you want to pay more for it unless you want the e-shifter with park assist. No model ranger here has skid plates, rear trailer hitch (or trailer brake), accessory switch panel, integrated roller shutter, or a/t tires unless it's a Raptor. That was a disappointment but it was a little cheaper than the Aussie version.
I had the 2017 3.2 Wildtrak. Was a bit disappointed with it in the end. Really liking the look of this new one. Hopefully get one next year through my roofing business 🙏
I am not sure what engine was in this review Ranger but I test drove a new 3.0 V6 diesel today and was a bit disappointed by the poor power. My 2018 2.8 Landcruiser would easily out accelerate it. Also the auto gearbox was horrid - really makes a big deal of changing gears. The Landrover defender 110 I test drove a few weeks ago was in a different league for those two issues and the general quality of it was superior by far too. This Ford (unlike my landcruiser) makes you know your in a built to a price vehicle and be thankful for it and don't get fancy notions about moving above your station in life. Just an average score from me. .
Very similar colour to Octane produced in AUS in the mid 2000’s falcon however not offered here on the ranger. Australia’s colour range is boring and shitt yet other countries get decent colours we used to have once.
