They don't have in their instructions any mention regarding factory remote starts. Called their help line...they had no clue other than to tell me to take it to a Ford dealer to be reprogrammed. I have a 2014 Lincoln Navigator. I got the system wiped and 2 new keys programmed. My remote start would look like it's going to work and then honk the horn like the theft alarm. I followed your instruction in this video and it worked perfectly. remote start work fine now.

Thank you very much for your videos, between them and the owners manual I was able to fix issues that the dealership said they could not or wanted to charge hundreds of dollars to diagnose, after a $200 tow and $600 bill the all the dealership was "able" to do was allow my mom to unlock her escape by the key in the door with no remote entry and no remote start and they couldn't do anything, but hey as they said the vehicle is running so she should be happy with that.. any way thanks you have allowed me to give my mom remote entry and her remote start back.

I installed the remote start in my 2015. Its very simple. Found a dealer to activate it and cost only $60 at dealer.

Thanks for the info. Worked great to complete the programming of two new fobs. Then I followed instructions to modify the system so it doesn't turn off, and now the remote start system doesn't work. It just honks four times. Do you happen to know what the four honks mean? Thanks.

I appreciate your videos! Where can I find the video on when the horn honks when trying to remote start the F150. I have an 05 and it will only start if the back side of one of the keys is laying flat against the ignition. Without that key against it, the vehicle initiates the start cycle but doesnt turn over the engine. After it tries a couple of time the horn starts honking irratically.

Love the info. Tried it with my new to me 2012 Lincoln MMT. It has 2 remotes that are push button start in the truck. The remote start only works if I am sitting in the vehicle. So much for remote stating. Lol. Great info though.

I have the same problem, I think on my 2009 F150. Press the button on the remote. Doors lock, horn honks once, and the lights come on and then nothing, and the horn honks once more at the end. The truck does not start. I did what you did and it did not work. But the remote start will work if I have the truck running and I stop and need to get out and want to leave the truck run with out the keys in it. I press the remote once and it will continue to run with no keys. Do you have an idea as to what is wrong?

Great video and I have been having same issue except I bought a third key at Ace and had it cut and programmed with their smart box. It wouldn't start the car even with the key in the ignition, so they gave me a refund. Now I tried what you said and that didn't work either. What does work is when I put one of the keys over the ignition, and the remote start works, otherwise it just flashes the security light on the dash and tries 4 times and fails. Any ideas if you think the module might be bad? It says right in the remote start box that it requires a pc-32 module. Not sure what that means.

Only problem is I don’t have the extra remote start fob for it, it’s called the Powercode system. How would I go about getting a new fob programmed and what fob would I need to buy. I have a 2012 f350 with factory remote start. Should hitting the brake kill the engine before the key is turned I know pulling the shifter kills and always thought the Brake did as well

Hi, I have a question about this key. I order a new 2018 focus with remote start system. My dealer told that they installed this system for me when the car arrivelled. And today i went to see the car and found the keys are actually 2 keys like your video shown. I am curious all the ford vehicles with this system have 2 keys ? And is my car remote system not factory system?

I just bought an 08 f150 with the same start fob. It acts similar but gives me 2 horn chirps. People say that it's a hood switch problem but I don't see a hood switch. Could not being programmed be the problem? Also, I only have 1 key. Any advice? Thanks

Hello, thank you for putting up such informative videos I have watched almost all of your videos. I was having the same issue with my remote start. I did what you said, and it went from doing nothing like in your video to cranking. but still no start. It only cranks through one cycle then it goes back to what it regularly does nothing. I ran some codes and I am getting a code b1600. It is a 2003 Ford Escape. Any advice? If I put a working key near the ignition or in the ignition, the remote start does work.

I've tried this and my 2 remote start fobs won't fix like yours did. Is my transponder ring possibly broken? I do have 2 functioning car keys. The remote start fobs work if I hold one of the car keys next to the ignition.

Makuloco, I have a question/issue for you. I drive a 2017 Transit 250 for my employer that's been having a lot of issues lately that Ford hasn't been able to track down. 1st off, my driver side door was wrapped around backwards by a windshield replacement company during a very windy day. The auto body shop repaired the door but now the driver side lock/unlock do not work, the driver side window only goes up/down about 2" at each press of the button, the passenger side door lock does not work and the doors lock automatically when I turn the engine off and open the door. Also, if I close the door again and then reopen it the dash starts beeping for about 10 seconds and then the alarm goes off. This has never happened before and my local Ford dealer claims that I just have a couple bad switches. Have you ever had this happen?

I love them but sometimes the same thing happens that you showed in your video. I go to remote start and the theft light just blinks. The weird part is that it only does this every now and then. Is there a special way to do this with the keyless go system on a 2011 Taurus SHO? I want to try and reprogram my remotes before ordering a new module that may have failed.

What if it randomly works sometimes and gets the security light other times? No changes and has been like that for 2-3 years. 1st year (2017-2018) it worked consistently. 2009 Escape with Ford remote start.

I have a question for you. I got a 2004 ford freestar I changed the pcm because I was having problems with it. I took it to ford to have the keys programed with the command starter. They got the key to start it and the doors unlocked and locked only when it's not running. It's an aftermarket ford motor company remote starter system with keyless entry. H63db it says on the box. When I press the start button the only thing that happens it the horn honks 3 times. Nothing else happens no power to the cluster Nothing lights up. What am I missing ? Did I not get something done right?

Hey there did you ever go over the one horn beep?. I have a 2016 transit connect was smashed front airbags deployed. I fixed the vehicle replaced bags seat belts air bag module clock spring. All codes clear system Powers up relays click under hood lights flash 3 times and horn beeps theft light flashes. Any help please and thank you

I've got a 09 focus and I've only got 1 key and one remote. The remote will lock and unlock and pop trunk. It also does what you show at the beginning of the video. I hold the start button and everything lights up but then don't start. It honks 5 times and shuts off. Any ideas? Will your process work with only one key?

Hey Brian, I was so excited to try this when I found your video, but unfortunately it didn’t work! Any suggestions? I have a 2008 f350 srw harley edition with the 6.4 diesel. It does exactly same as your video with the security lock hyper flash. I don’t recall when it stopped working, but when my batteries were dying in the past, I wasn’t able to start the truck normally and then found this small push button switch taped to wire harness under driver foot well by module. Had to press it in order to temporarily deactivate security lock. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I have a Ford Fusion 2012. I lost one of the remote start fobs and purchased one off ebay. Same FCC ID and IC #. I followed your instructions on the video to program the fob from ebay. Nothing happened. Is there something else I need to do? The remote start does not seem to even recognize the remote. Question for you, at three minutes 27 seconds you mentioned the horn beeping multiple times for different problems. I have 2008 Ford Explorer that I had some repair work done to the transmission.
