What's even better is at the very end, when Tom Cruise's name appeared, the 'Munchies' women said Matthew McConaughy's character was Tom Cruise, not the bald, dancing studio executive.
You are becoming my favorite reaction channel. I love your sense of humor, and when you occasionally misunderstand something, it is so adorable. Just keep doing what you’re doing ladies, because you are very fun to watch.
I have such a huge respect for anyone who is bilingual or more. It takes so much effort to learn another language. Your English is very impressive ladies.
@@Roddy556it’s usually American/British sarcasm , or references that only native English speakers would understand. Hell there’s lots of jokes in this movie that even British people won’t get unless they are very caught up on American language history AND contemporary colloquialisms . Every language has subtleties but American English is HUGE on that front
So you know this whole movie is about the film industry, right? Idk how many people understood this joke, but around 12:40 when the producer, Grossman, asks who is the "Key Grip", that is normally the person in charge of and most capable of handling and rigging the heaviest and bulkiest things on set, often just by hand, by themselves. So... He asked the person who is most likely the physically strongest person on set... To punch the director in the face. 😂
I like when they had the stupidly confusing conversations and she was like "this is confusing." Nothing was lost in translation, the characters are just confused. 😂
Tom Cruise is the bald guy dancing at the end. He played the movie producer Les Grossman. When he was asked to be in this movie, he said he would do it if he could have fat hands and dance 😂
You had my reaction at the end when he was dancing, "that's Tom Cruise?!" 🤯 😂😂😂 i thought he was familiar and couldn't figure it out until it showed his name next to his face. 😂 Loved how Tom Cruise played the evil bald guy. When he yelled he will massacre the flaming dragon I loved his delivery.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 Yeah, for me too his voice immediately gave it away. Then I knew to look for his facial features under the makeup and could see him clear as day. I wonder if that voice recognition is the main thing that splits the people who recognize him from those who don't.
I love the way you ladies figured out...not to take this movie seriously, ha ha! Even without all the cultural jokes it was nice to see how funny this film still is. One of my favorites.
Fun fact: Robert Downey JR. staying in character until the DVD commentary can be proved in the Tropic Thunder DVD special features. You girls are great, Until the next movie !!!
What a great reaction! You are my favorite channel. This was a very funny movie, I hope you liked it. I’m sorry they didn’t have Vietnamese actors in it for you. I know you would have enjoyed that. Anyways, thank you for the reactions, you three have made me smile so much and made me feel so good watching movies with you.
By the way, I still had some old timers that would shout "di di mau!" ('Hurry up!', or 'Move out!') when I was a young trooper. Not because they fought in Vietnam - they were far too young - but because that phrase entered the Army lexicon at one point and just never left.
Matthew McConaughey is the agency guy. Tom Cruise was in fact the fat bold producer at the end 😂 The makeup really transformed him. And for what I remember, that look was his idea.
You girls have become my favorite reaction channel. All of you are so pretty and fun to watch. And your reactions are so genuine and adorable. When I see that a new video is available I can’t wait to get home and watch it. Keep up the great work.
I love your reactions! you're all so adorable and have such a positive spirit that every time I watch your videos I feel that the things I'm stressed about don't matter as much knowing that there are such good people as you all are. I'm a fan and will continue to keep watching! 😊
Each of the main characters in the movie were a parody of a certain type of actor, and they were portrayed by an actor that’s known for that style. So in a lot of ways, they were making fun of themselves. Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) was playing a Method Actor. Jack Black a “low brow” and physical slapstick comedian. Brandon Jackson (Booty Sweat guy) was supposed to represent actors that come over from another genre like a Music Career and mainly get roles based on name recognition and product placements. (Though that’s not really Brandon’s backstory but it would probably be harder to get someone who really filled that role to make fun of theirselves)
WTF! LOL! 🤣 I've seen this movie countless times and had no idea the locals were speaking Chinese! Thanks for teaching me something new and making this movie even funnier 💯
My favorite bit of the whole movie is at the start when they go through the fake names of the actors Toby Mcguire is just Toby Mcguire in that monk movie 😂
I love this channel and this is one of my all time favorite action comedies great reaction my wife doesn’t dig these kind of comedies but maybe if I show her your reaction she might give the movie a shot thanks girls
It's a common troupe in American Cinema, TV and Movie, that they will often just Use whatever Asian Ethnicity Actor or Actress to play a Character because they know Westerners won't know the difference. For example, you will often see Actors and Actresses of Korean or Chinese Ethnicity used to play Japanese or other Ethnicities because they make up the bulk of East Asians in Western Countries, like Keiko O'brien a character from Star Trek was supposed to be a Japanese Character but played by Rosalind Chao, a Chinese American. Rosalind Chao also played Korean Characters in the MASH TV Series.
Do you know what England and Vietnam have in common? We were both colonised by the French. It happened to us in 1066 over a thousand years ago but it lasted hundreds of years where we were second class in our own country.
Movie Munchies I hope one of these days you do a reaction to "Good Morning Vietnam" which stars the late great Robin Williams (1987), and "The Hateful Eight" (2015).
It is a thing that some movies completely bomb in America, but become hits elsewhere in the world. Battleship and the Golden Compass were bombs in America, but huge hits in Europe and parts of Asia.
I think I had more fun watching your reaction than the movie itself....😂 I wish I could explain to you some of the jokes that you probably missed because of cultural differences haha. But you do seem to catch on a lot! Makes me wonder how much of American culture is popular in Vietnam? It seems I have a lot more to learn about your country... The more I see about other cultures, the more I realize we are all pretty much the same!
Seeing your reaction to this movie, I'd like to see your reaction to some serious films set in Vietnam, such as "Casualties of War", "The Quiet American", or "The Lover".
There was a movie came out about twenty years before this, that was also totally stupid and ridiculous like this and y'all should watch it. The Three Amigos!
