J. Tom Morgan, former district attorney of Dekalb County, Georgia, discusses the closing arguments heard in Fulton County on whether district attorney Fani Willis should be removed from the Georgia election subversion case. #CNN #News
It is illegal for a DA to hire a boyfriend to the DA's office. He was a traffic case lawyer and never did a single felony case. She did not use the RICO lawyers in her office which would not have cost the county a penny. She paid him $1,000,000 which was not approved by the county which makes it illegal for Wade to prosecute Trump.
She lied because Merchant and Bradley gossiped over text message? Maybe Merchant should have gotten a sworn statement. Bradley said he had no first hand knowledge and she took it to the bank as gospel.
You think a DA hasn't lied on the stand? LMFAO!!!! I have a beach front property in Nebraska that I want to sell you for $200k. Available right now! She is NOT getting disqualified from this case.

@@4H2O4EVER All they proved is the well-known fact that she and a gentleman had a relationship. Trump still tried to pressure the Georgia secretary of state to generate twelve thousand fake ballots. Are you not outraged by this?
Yep, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' wife HELPED organize the Insurrection and yet he won't step down from the case about Trump's role in the Insurrection.
There’s nothing about either case in front of SCOTUS that impacts Thomas wife. One only deals with someone who is or was president. The second only deals with if the state gets to determine eligibility or not.
@BrooklynCapo and that changes absolutely none of the facts of the case. This is a diversion. If there is impropriety, it should be addressed accordingly. But wade and Willis's personal lives have less than nothing to do with the alleged actions of the accused.
So you've been watching CNN cover news for years, including legal cases, and this is the FIRST TIME in years you've seen someone mention legal precedent?! 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, right.
Most of these comments are from trolls who haven't watched not even one second of today's courtroom video. If they had, then they would have seen that Bradley admitted to lying about Wade and Willis in his texts and emails. So, the defense's case is toast.
True! Once it was revealed Wade booted Bradley out of their law firm for sexually assaulting a female employee, it became pretty clear why Bradley was so eager to help Ashley Merchant smear Wade. Unfortunately for Trump’s team, Bradley gossiping in a salacious text exchange with Merchant is not equivalent to him testifying under oath in open court. In that setting Bradley sang a far different tune. The other thing that came out in Bradley’s testimony (but that wasn’t discussed today) was the confusion about where exactly Bradley learned about Wade and Willis’s relationship. Based on his testimony, it appeared much of what he learned about Wade and Willis came from Ashleigh Merchant herself!

Still drinking the kool aid I see. It’s DEMOCRATS who play the race card. It’s Fani who went to that church and pulled the race card. Now that she is getting called out for it you take that as pulling the race card. It is truly amazing the level of mental gymnastics you people will goto just to try and justify the political witch hunt on President Trump. You all yell how NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW. Then when a democrat blatantly and obviously violates the law you people want to pretend it’s REPUBLICANS who are pulling the race card, or gender card, or gay card or whatever identity card applies. Why do you not have issue with this woman breaking the law by hiring her significant other and paying him ridiculously more then he should be. Other experienced attorneys in the case weren’t paid close to what he got. He charged the state for 24 hours in one day. But NOTHING TO SEE HERE. You probably believe that TIFFANY A HENYARD is only being investigated because she is black. OPEN YOUR EYES, and TURN ON YOUR BRAIN.
This will be so sad if she is disqualified from this case and the case is dismissed. tRump is guilty no matter what she has done. We all heard the phone call where he asked for votes. 😢
@@harryfarber6435Don’t be dumb. The call was made on January 2, 2021 from Trump to Georgia Secretary of state who released it right after, long before Jack Smith was named special council of the matter.
The taxpayers of Atlanta are paying a big price for this silly incursion into the DA's private matters, none of these accusations have anything to do with the presumed guilt 😉 of the people who presumably committed THE crimes...The judge should never have allowed this to go on, I'm wondering if the judge was bought off...🤔
@@roughhabit9085 You are correct, they have not ALL been found guilty and I'm not biased, I'm just getting ahead of myself, but allow me to edit my comment in a more satisfactory way.😁
@daniel5808 let me ask you a question, do you really believe Donald Trump is innocent of all crimes? They could have put that guy away years ago before he was president. You must think a guy with such a beaming history with shady dealings is the 2nd coming....If Obama had did just 1 of the things Trump is accused of republicans would have thrown him under the jail cell by now and you KNOW this is true...🤨🫡
@daniel5808 wow drinking the fox or news max koolaid kinda hard there aren't ya. Honestly this diversion by Trump and Co. is nothing but a waste of time to run out the clock. He was caught on a recording trying to influence the election and he is doing everything to keep himself out of jail. What the Maga media is doing is trying to paint him off as the victim and stirring up fear that he is wrongfully prosecuted. Let me state the facts. 1. He tried to interfere with the Federal Elections in Georgia. 2. He and his goons tried to use fake electors. 3. Many of his minions have be found guilty and/or flipped on him. 4. The Fani Willis issue is nothing more than a delay and a diversion from locking him up for the rest of his worthless life.
@daniel5808 … How do you know who was in the jury pool? They do not ask a person’s political affiliation. So in your opinion the jury should be all Republicans?
Hold on a minute....do you think it is important that a prosecutor is integral, honest, ethical and moral ? I do, so everyone is treated equally and fairly.
Biden humiliates the USA with his stumbling and mumbling like a doofus. A president can indeed be an ass, look at what you have in office! You ain't black if you vote for Trump... That's a comment from the biggest ass I've ever heard!
In the example in this clip, it certainly seems that there is no impropriety. Impropriety, from this example, would be if Ms. Willis was dating Mr. Wade and Mr. Wade was working for the defense. THAT would certainly not only be improper but also a HUGE conflict of interest.
Remember, is not a crime for this type of relationship to hapoen in Georgia, Fani committed no crime from what I see, and I watch everything begining to end, their filing was about them enriching themsrlves with money from the case,a d it never happen, even the lady where fani supposed to have made the payment, asked to testify cos fani as she said paid cash not like trump side described it.
Ofcourse, if you are paid for your job, you have the right to spend it as you wish,is your money, so even if he spent the money for fani , is nobody's business and what had thos got to do with trump crime s.
We went from an appearance of impropriety hearing to lying under oath and misconduct in office. All cause Fani let her arrogance and narcissism take front seat to her ethics
Oh okay you must be right but I'll tell you what it risers way past that how about felonious criminal activity she's going to be charged she needs to be charged she better be charged her and Wade need to go to prison for decades and never ever stepped foot in a courtroom again unless they're the defendant
Yes it does by them joining together it makes people believe them even if they are lying. People who doesn't know any better will think surly both of them can't be lying. Look at all the lies in the Simson case that got over looked. They need to pass a law that says if
He’s not our Master, he’s the People’s candidate and no amount of cases are going to stop him, and if it’s not him it’s going to be DeSantis. This is a REVOLUTION!!!
what crimes? Questioning an election where 139 million REGISTERED VOTERS in the USA cast 155 million votes? That Joe Biden was 17 million votes more popular than Obama's second election?
This hearing has got nothing to do with Trump. It’s to do with questions about her conduct as a DA in terms of unethical behaviour and Conflict of interest
The Impeachment Clause CLEARLY STATES. The House Brings Impeachment, The Senate Convicts(Now that both sides of Congress agreed on Impeachment charges, you can CLEARLY state that it ISNT as in NOT political in the up coming court case.) After the Senate Convicts. You can CHARGE THE PRESIDENT WITH ANY CRIME LIKE A NORMAL AMERICAN. This is all CLEARLY stated in the CONSTITUTION? Where did you get your Information for?
I seem to recall hearing Fani Willis' dad, who seemed like a very level headed gentleman, repeatedly point out who Fani Willis had for a boyfriend, before the threats made her leave home. Her dad was questioned about all the times he has met Wade and there was no evidence of a relationship. Credibility is at stake. On one side, that woman claiming the relationship goes all the way back to 2019 is the only 'evidence' of it being so. Many other people dispute that and nothing proves Fani is incorrect.
Bradley admitted to lying about them being together and said so. Over and over, Bradley said he had no personal knowledge of when they started to be together. Where have you been?@@roundtwo3321
Fani kept the relationship secret from EVERYONE because she was interviewed by the local tv station when she was running for judge and DA and said in that interview, “and I would NEVER date a colleague or a subordinate.” Why? Because the person she was running against at the time(3 yrs ago?) had a huge scandal doing just that! Her and Wade HAD to keep the relationship secret. Why do you think Wade testified on the stand that he and Willis took DAY TRIPS with 6 hr round trips? So they wouldn’t be seen in a romantic relationship by anyone locally. Oh Yes, there’s plenty of people that DO know that their relationship started in 2019, but they will never come forward…. Just like Bradley testified, “No one’s going to burn THAT bridge on purpose.” These attorneys and law clerks all know each other, many are covering for each other…. would you do it too? But it doesn’t make it right, or ethical. The bottom line is Fanni and Wade did not want to get caught… but they did. They are jumping through hoops trying not to get in serious, serious trouble. Phone records show that Wade spent 2 nights at Fani’s condo. Which means they both lied under oath. And btw, he was already caught lying on his divorce documents, yeah, he then went back and tried to correct the: “Have you entertained anyone of the opposite sex, that was not your relative, in the course of your marriage?” He answered “NO”. And even though the organization that looked at their cell phone data is considered “the gold standard” in law enforcement in Georgia when prosecutors use cell phone records as evidence to convict someone… well…. Fani’s attorneys tried to say, “Those records could be wrong, inconclusive, etc. “ Here’s the problem with that- every person convicted in Georgia using cell phone records while Fani has been DA…. will now be filing motions for dismissal of their case based on Fani’s attorney trying to say HER cell phone records are “no good “. A can of worms had now been opened… no, a GALLON of worms! Wade will definitely be taken off the case, and probably disbarred for perjury and other misconduct. (Too much to go in to here.). Fani may keep her license and remain as Fulton County DA’, however, her and her office will be removed from the case. And if THAT happens, there is no other DA’s office in the state of Georgia that has the resources to take this large of a case, which means for all intents and purposes…. It will be dismissed. Fani couldn’t even handle keeping THE APPEARANCE of a conflict of interest, nor THE APPEARANCE of inappropriate behavior, out of this, the most important case of her career. And that’s ALL the defendant has to show: THE APPEARANCE OF … wrong doing. Hope this helps you get ready for what’s coming….. (Edit for spelling and left out words.)
If the judge disqualify Fani Willis any defendant can bring a frivolous case against a DA claiming the appearance of impropriety and have the DA thrown off the case with the right judge.
@@kencook7924 I watched the trial live streaming. I saw no evidence that they had a meeting at the White House about the defendant. You must be watching Fox propoganda.
This isn't an "appearance".... This is a flat out impropriety. And THIS is EXACTLY why ethics requires DAs and their teams to be held to the highest standards. Willis has shown she gives a crap about ethics..... It's ALL about Fani's fun...
Frivolous? Hiring your bf (who’s married) for a national case when he claims he has $2,000 in the bank and $60,000 in debt and paying him $650,000 over a few years isn’t impropriety?… how do you breath with your head so deep in the sand?
Fani hired inexperienced BF gave him 650k salary, who took her on lavish trips and lied about it to the judge under oath. Small detail that CNN and MSNBC forget to tell you 🤣🤣🤣
This is a complete sideshow. Unbelievable that this has interrupted one of the most important prosecutions of our time. The judicial system is corrupt and sick.

She will definitely be taking out the case. I used to work in the legal field and I tell you one thing: When taking the witness stand you must humble yourself to find favour in the eyes of the court room. Her arrogance didn't help! her.
Fani was thrown off a case for far less by donating to a prosecutors campaign. This is far worse. She was not only donating by bussing it open in the bedroom. She was receiving all expense paid vacations in the process. She’s toast.

The lawyers are doing their JOBS in defendign their clients zealously as required by oath, by law and by the Constitution. And doing a DAMN GOOD JOB of it, too.
What everyone is missing here is how much Wade was paid in this case which benefited both him and Willis. With no experience in a Rico case, he got paid 2x more than everyone. Thats the conflict
No what you are missing is that employees can spend their money they earned from work provided as they choose, or does the GQP want to police that too?
hopefully the case would be tried on evidence, not on emotional reaction. As far as the case being tainted, there are 18 people on trial for attempting to overturn the votes of 81 million people. That is what I call "tainted"

It is beyond disgusting that there is a courtroom full of men picking apart the private relationship of a female DA because a rapist is terrified of being held accountable
Obviously Georgia doesn’t set the bar very high when it’s OK for the District Attorney and Lead Prosecutor to Blatantly lie to the court. I guess that’s average conduct for people from Georgia.
