Actually Notre Dame academics standards are a little higher than average, but they prove that you can be smart and athletic at the same time. I remember some reason back one specific alumni was talking about lower the academics standards in order to get better players.
@@EyeOfTheWatcher My comment means Notre Dame actually brought in a player who meets NOTRE DAME'S academic standards that apply to non-athletes AT NOTRE DAME. Yes, Notre Dame has much higher than average academic standards. The point is they admit many football players who would NEVER be admitted without football. Yes, many schools do too, but that doesn't excuse Notre Dame's hypocrisy especially as a Catholic college espousing strict values.
@@a1aprospects470 I guarantee whatever you wish to major in does not bring in as much money as the football team. Non-athletes benefit greatly from the revenue brought in by the football program. Welcome to America. Capitalism rules all. You don't like it? Play a sport.
@@drumusic5665 You said I should play a sport? Well, I'm older than you but I played FOUR sports and was recruited by colleges in each, then played basketball on scholarship. After college I worked my way to being CFO of a bank. You're a scrawny "rapper" who looks like you can't do a single pullup much less play a serious sport, so you telling me anything about being an athlete or capitalism is as big a joke as your "rapping". In my late 50s now & in better shape and more athletic than you. My point was about a university's hypocrisy. So stick to being a "rapper" and not paying your mom rent for living in her house. Or do the typical Gen Z thing and tell me I'm a "hater" for spitting facts at your marshmallow soft self.
After watching Angeli play the Sun bowl (even against a watered down Oregon State) and knowing that Carr is coming in, I’m not too worried if he gets injured. Would hope he doesn’t though
oh yeah def week 4...buddy. I was at like all but 1 or 2 of the home games that season. We played FSU, toledo at home, purdue and Wisconsin first four games. idk what ur saying
They're at a significant disadvantage because they have to hold up lofty academic standards, unlike the rest of these schools that don't give af about the kids.
