I ate Fri sat sun. 3750, 4134, 3734, calories each day. Then fasted sun late afternoon til Friday afternoon. Drank water, diet soda (pop 😅) , Pedialite mixed with water for electrolytes, lil dab of Celtic salt here and there, still taking my blood pressure meds, vitamins. I also take keto activate scoop ( supposed to help u lose fat, scoop of greens (veggies), and scoop of multi GI 5 (for gut health). I make 1 drink with all of them blended together once daily. It’s 50 calories. That what I did week one. I will leave myself 12,000 calorie-ish limit per week and kinda switch up the fasts every time.
Yup, the ADF (44/4) is what has worked for me for maintenance. ..Plus I feel the most healthy and energetic with ADF. .. On OMAD I tend to gain weight back. Maintenance really is a juggling act to find out what works. I’ll try anything from a short fast to a 7 day fast, but ADF seems to work the best for me.
This is my Day 1 again. Finished today strong. Thanks for your example. Integrity feels good. Looking forward to my progress over the next 40 days. My family is counting on me 💪
Today is my day 1 as well. Starting at 223 lbs and my goal weight is 165 lbs. i am planning on doing 45 hour rolling fasts consistently until I hit my goal. We’ve got this! :)
BE INTENTIONAL❤❤❤ BE CONSISTENT ❤❤❤ BE PURPOSEFUL ❤❤❤ BE RESPONSIBLE ❤❤❤ BE MINDFUL ❤❤❤ i’m still working on it🎉🎉🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO YOUR GREAT ACHIEVEMENT 🎉🎉🎉
I'm down 9 LBS this month and only have 12 more LBS to go to hit goal weight. You're about. 4 LBS less than me right now so that makes us weight loss twins😂😂 I totally get it about being anxious regarding changing your fasting times. I'm still a little nervous about making that adjustment, but I know if I have to that I can always do a longer fasting time to get back in sync with maintaining/losing weight. Your channel has really helped me a lot a lot!! Thank you and congrats on succeeding in your fasting journey. You look amazing!!
You're amazing. I'm trying to beat my food addiction and binge eating. I keep failing tho and recently it really got me into a dark place. But you inspire me to not give up. I will be trying prolonged fasting and hopefully I can achieve my goals as well. Thank u for being here and sharing your journey
@@junebb131 Thank you so much, I'll try my best! I just started my fasting journey once again and I'm 51h in so far :)! sending you some love as well, we got this
@@kdimitrova9656 Thank you!! I did it once before so at least I know it will get easier if I just stick to it. It's hard but doable. Falling back into old habits made me think it's impossible for me after all but those videos give me hope
@@friendlylisek i totally understand, as I go through it myself. Beating food addiction is hard. I find it helpful to work on my self confidence. You can totally do it. And there is a lot of recourses there. Wishing you all the best :)
I am varying my fasts, for sure, so I can see how I do. I’m varying between 36 hours up to five days & anything between. I too, am concerned about emotional eating when I go off, but I’m trusting that by varying my fasts and refeeds, I’ll be able to transition more easily. I have already learned not to refeed more than 36 hours… for now. In 6 to 8 months, I’ll start every other day refeeds to ease into long term maintenance. My prime directive when I refeed is to get at least 120-140 gm of protein. I will lose 90 lbs of fat- no muscle! 💪🏾 Hang in there, everyone!
I've still got about 35 pounds to go before I hit my 2nd goal but I'm already thinking about what my maintenance strategy will be. Thanks for the video and being so open, strategic and transparent about your journey! I'm down 20 lbs in 6 weeks and couldn't be happier!🎉
i am litterally having the same thought process as u , and i gettttt youu when u said i'd rather do it this way and ease into it because its better for my mental health !!! Thiss resonates so much i lost 15Kg and maintained it through WF
I started at 220 lbs. Currently weigh 152lbs. I think it’s just the way my body holds weight, but I still have another 10-15 lbs I wanna lose for a lean look. I’m starting again with rolling fasts, I’ll do 4 days of fast and 3 of eating. Because I lose weight kinda fast so I don’t wanna overdo it. I’m sure with this just 2-3 rolling fasts will get me to goal weight. Then maybe just OMAD for maintenance and no alcohol.
This is a good plan!!! You are reaching your goal faster than anticipated! Good to test the waters and see how your body responds. Good to do it this way so you stay in control of the process. Only you can figure out the Fast Feast Repeat cycle you will need for maintenance. Thanks for the update! ❤
Thanks for these videos man on my 2nd fast started at 263 at 255 need to get down to 220 to enlist seeing these lil results are pushing me to keeping going
J Man! I like how you are easing into your reduction time with your fasts, that sounds a lot smarter than going from one time span to another. You progress has been tremendous and it seems like the end goal may be more challenging to keep than getting there. But J Man, you've been here before and you know what's up. Later👍🏾
I live a fasting lifestyle pretty much all my life 😊 your videos especially your method are inspirational. Have you ever incorporated an 18, or 20, or 24 hr dry fast? I always start with a dry fast and move into a water fast. You’ll be amazed 😊
Jerome your results are incredible and inspiring! Curious if while fasting, do you hydrate? Are you able to drink as much water or liquids as you want?
I enjoy watching your videos and am happy for your success. When do you begin to do the work controlling your portions? That’s the only way an ADF plan will work. The more fat you have the more sustainable the longer fasts are. Just seems like sabotage to not address the portions.
You will be better placed now for transition. It is a period of dangers as you said, it will be an adjustment for sure, lifting and cardio probably will feel better?
Jerome, question: you’ve mentioned that you have no digestive distress eating as you do during your refeeds. Was this always the case? Did you experience diarrhea and/or upset stomach when your first began, and then your body seemed to adapt? I ask because anything longer than 48hrs and I have to ease back into food. Makes rolling difficult. I’ve never performed rolling fasts though, so I was wondering if perhaps I can eventually eat a lot during a refeed without the digestive issues if I were to roll 72-96hrs. I know that I’m not you, but was wondering what your experience was here. Thanks.
This was the case most of the time. When I came back from not fasting for over two years, I had digestive issues after my first 65+ hour fast in years. After that, things were mostly fine. I do occasionally have BMs that aren't solid every now and then but it's nothing terrible where I have to be near a bathroom 24/7 after a refeed. That's really been my experience with it. I've noticed it's more a thing after a big salad but it's not *all* the time either. You might just have to start slow like others who refeed after a prolonged fast and play things by ear. Trial and error type deal. Keep me posted!
Thank you for the response, Jerome. I’ve eating been IF for at least 30 years now… yes, before it was a thing. I’ve ran extended fasts, between 36-100hrs, perhaps half a dozen times as well. I’m 54yo. Your work has intrigued me to try rolling fasts because, like you, I’ve no governor on my eating, and can eat a horse in a single sitting. I ended up on carnivore in the 90s because it was the easiest way for me to control portions. Turns out I can still overeat and have been doing so for my entire life. My theory is that I just need to stay away from food longer, as you do. Moreover, I feel much better fasted than fed, in every way except that psychological satisfaction that comes from eating. So much so that I’m pretty certain a rolling fast lifestyle will work brilliantly for me. For reference, I was an obese kid but lost 240lbs in my late twenties and kept it off since. I’m fairly muscled and have been training hard since I was a teenager. (Training has made no difference in the body fat side of my body composition equation.) At 6’2”, I’m 220lbs and probably 18-20% BF, and wanting to feel what sub-200lbs feels like. I currently eat once or twice per day, beef only (minimal eggs and butter). Fasting comes easy to me because I’m fat adapted, and extended fasts are a breeze once past the 16-18hr mark. Maybe I should document and publish on YT? It seems like you’re the only extended/rolling faster on all of YT who logs from experience. Most, if not all others just lecture from theory and/or minimal fasting experience. Thanks again.
This is a good question... when I was training myself to fast, I was quite strict with plans because building discipline was important, but I had some social flexibility by preparing in advance. So at that time, I would have declined the invitation, asked if I could show up after dinner, or depending on which friends/family go and not eat. Now, it would depend on if I really wanted to go, and if I'd eat. I don't break fasts longer than 36 hours with food prepared by others so that would influence my decision.
Somewhere, on one of Jerome's videos he says what he uses. I think it's iodinsed salt, sea salt and magnesium. I can't be sure that's correct, but he definitely described it Somewhere. Perhaps someone else in this fabulous community can confirm or point you to the relevant video.
@@junebb131 thank you so much for replying. I tried fasting before but I always suffer from tachycardia and light headedness.. I came to realize that was because I was depleted of salts.
I'm not sure what's happening here. Didn't he go down to 125 lbs a few years ago? Did he gain it all back and now losing it again? If so, does he say what happened for him to gain the weight back? Thanks
