Plus, Captain America traditionally is against surveillance while Iron Man is for surveillance. Doesn't really fit FOX's _»ICE is good«_ narrative, either. These guys haven't read a single Captain America storyline.

Personally, I object to anyone else at all being Thor because he's a person, not a title. That's the one that will always bother me. Titles transfer all the time, no big deal. But how did they make "Thor" a title rather than a person? I hate that concept so much.

Maybe its because Republicans are now the ones carrying the mantle of all those who never were Americans in the first place. The Republicans....who once were the "Liberals"....had after all begun as an opposition to the "Conservative" principle of Slavery. They were oddly enough a unification of those who fought against Slavery for the sake of moral courage and those who fought Slavery only because it was a threat to their bottom line, the Industrialists and Big Business interests. @hentai ken Yes, Mark Millar (the author of Civil War) wasn't the biggest fan of the Patriot Act. In his comic »The Ultimates«, the Marvel heroes are created to fight terrorists. But because there are too few terrorists in that world, they orchestrate a Hulk incident with hundreds of victims to legitimate their own existence … George W. Bush even appears in the comic. I guess, FOX didn't read that one.

Not to mention the X-Men and mutants in general were an allegory for immigrants.
