Thanks for sharing Dr. Zach. Looks like a very versatile affordable insoles. Hoping these would do well in other activities like tennis, basketball, running, etc.
Hi Zach, I just came back to thank you for recommending the FPInsoles Gamechangers. I looked further into them and finally made the purchase and molded them to my feet and they are indeed a gamechanger. They corrected my overpronation and I no longer have lower back pain or leg pain after basketball practice and also added a significant amount of impact absorption to my KD15s so I can protect my knees more. Thanks!!!
@@FootDoctorZach Not before I inserted the new insoles and not now either. I always wear Nike Elite socks which are a bit fluffy/bulky so there’s no space for my heel to slip or something.
Just got these as well for basketball, did you experience any soreness the first few wears? I wear em in my KD 15’s too and my feet start hurting after only a few minutes.
@@MrFreakazoid24 Yes I did, and it was because of wrong molding. Reheat them and wear them with your basketball socks and start making a few basket moves that you usually do like jumping, running, stopping and turning etc, and if you get a better mold it will go away.
Yeah I, too, would highly advise against heating these type of insoles up in an oven. So often one of the insoles goes too soft and flattens out more than it should as a result. I’ve ruined many expensive insoles by following the instructions haha. Patience and body temperature will produce a much more accurate fit long term.
Hey Zach thanks for excellent videos..quick question I'm a 240lb 5 ft 10 guy that plays basketball in paint a lot feet always hurt afterwards which insole would reduce/absorb this impact to my feet the most? the Powerstep Pinnacle or FP Insoles Gamechanger, I was kinda confused cause on one video you said fpinsoles best for impact protection but Powerstep are your favorite I'm just trying to find out which is best for my situation THANKS in advance for reply.
They lasted about a month or so for me. I got the Kingfoam Elite. What happened for me is that they stopped being foamy, hardened up and went flat. They were great for about 10 hrs or so on court.
How does these insoles compare to the Move Game Day Pro Insoles? I'm thinking of putting the flat version of FP to my slightly oversized Air Jordan 1 (my AJ1 is size 11.5 but I'm size 10.5) and put the Game Day Pro on top of these.
Hey Zach, I was wondering what is best for everyday use between the FP Insoles and Super Feet? It's funny because I have owned both insoles and I still don't know what fits best for me. Really enjoy your videos doc!
well you have both, find put yourself! give each of em a good amount of time to do its work, but don't wear one for one day then swap out the other on the next day tho, like wear each brand for a week then the other for a week then compare
im using it for like 4yrs already the difference is night n day to me.. and we had the same thoughts too doc zac why dont they use FP insole material. it could save alot of athletes specially basketball players
Hi Zach. I love your channel, and have used your recommendations for tennis shoes (I have ball of foot pain and plantar fasciatus) for every purchase for the last 3 years. After seeing this review of these insoles (I've been using Superfeet replacement insoles in all my tennis shoes), I decided to order the Kingfoam Elite and the Gamechangers Custom two weeks ago. I got an immediate confirmation, and then shortly after I got a confirmation of shipping (via USPS). Unfortunately, it's 2 weeks later and the package has never actually been given to USPS. I have reached out twice now, via their "not really a chat session" chat. Both responses were basically "that's very strange, I'll look into it" and then nothing for days after. I finally had to dispute the order with my credit card company. While their insoles may be fantastic, their customer service and lack of actually shipping their products or communicating with customers makes them a hard no for me.
We are sorry to hear you experienced difficulty with your delivery. We can see that your order was delivered, it looks like there was an issue with the first one delivered to the post office and a second one was sent. And because of the chargeback you filed, you ultimately recievd the product for free. We were't lying when we said we would check into it and fix the problem with the shipment although we do understand your frustration. We hope you are enjoying the insoles.
@@FootprintInsoleTechnology The issue, most fundamentally, was that it took your team 3 weeks to "fix the problem". And, no communication at all from your company, outside of the canned responses of "we'll look into it personally". I reached out the first time in good faith, then gave your customer service a week after the "we'll look into it" response with absolutely no follow up by you. I then reached out in frustration and informed your customer service of the exact measures I would take if I didn't have some real information in another week. The only response to that was "we'll definitely look into it". Nothing else for another week. So I did what I said I would do. And STILL have never received any communication from your customer service department. Just this post on my YT comment. I didn't want your product for free. I wanted the product shipped when your notification said it was shipped. Barring that, I wanted responsive customer service that actually communicated with me and addressed my issue in a timely fashion. I got neither of those things.
@@brooksgbanks It was delivered in three weeks after the first shipment was determined to be lost. The fact is, sometimes usps tracking labels don't update until their delivered. This happens if the code gets damaged or marked. Our customer service rep should have been more clear on that. We're sorry about that. Fortunately in the end you received the product.
Thanks for the review. My daughter is currently wearing the Dame 8, and the stiff plate in the middle of the shoe is killing her feet. Do you think this orthotic will help? She is a narrow, semi flat footed basketball player.
hi doc recovering from fractured toe , need to get a pair of insoles for when i'm back playing ball on a outdoor court , looking for insoles to protect my feet and prevent another fracture are these these insoles the best to buy ?
Thanks for this review. Curious what you think about the tree sizing ranges. Mens 3-8; 5-10.5 & 8-14. Of course these are cut to size, but is what's left after cutting properly contoured to the foot? I'm a 9. Which sizing group do youn recommend (b/w 5-10.5 and 8-14)? TIA!
Very good vid! Hope you reply to this: Im using PG6 - having shin splints while playing basketball. Also, my arch is low (not fully flat, but we can say flat :D ). I started to use sole air performance, which reduced my shin splints but its arch support feels not good and I'm not the fan of the thickness in the forefoot. I watched all your videos and I want to ask for recommendation. Im in UK and there is no move sole here. Which insole do you recommend? FP insoles looks good but which one to go with? also their heel cup doesn't look supportive. are those good for basketball or only for skating etc. ? Thank you!
Just found the vid. Thank you! I got Lebron 20 and am getting blister on left inside foot right where insole comes up. These insoles are a lot wider than old Harden 6. Should I replace the insoles in Lebron 20 with these?
I’ve used the regular king foam insoles and recently switched to the king foam elite with arch support to recover from ball of foot pain. They are bulky and won’t fit in every shoe but work well on the Lotto. I would still prefer Nike GP turbo with stock insole but they are discontinued 😢
We make 3mm versions to fit into shoes with paper thin insoles. Kingfoam elite with arch support ( what you have) is the thickest insole we make which is built for extreme action sports shoes.
Although I know you did a review over the top 5, what would you recommend between this and the move pro for a middle blocker in volleyball? A lot of lateral movements and pretty much jumping on each play both defensively and offensively
Looking to deal with shin splints (Medial tibial stress syndrome (MTSS)) for jumping sports in spike shoes, with little heal shock absorption, like poll vault, long jump, high jump, and even 200m sprint. Are these effective?
Hey Doc have you tried the powerstep bridge? I'm thinking about buying them for basketball. I want something with low to none arch support and good cushion. Also thinking of getting the fp elite mid classic.
How would you say these affect energy return? Which model would you recommend for a pair of jordan 36 lows that won’t hurt the energy return of the zoom but will add even more impact protection?
Any good orthotic will add impact protection, the FP is just best at it - if you want a rigid beam then powerstep pinnacles are probably the play or move gameday pro
hey Doc, you mentioend the ones that are impact chock absorbers which you use to replace the OEM insoles, don't all of these products replace the OEM insoles or are you saying the more contoured ones go on top of the OEM insoles?
I have an older pair of the Jordan Federer mash up Zoom shoe and I want it to feel more plush like the GP Turbo. Are the insoles in this video the way to go or is there one specific one you would recommend just to add plushness?
Depends on your running style, id say a heel striker or midfoot yeah, forefoot maybe if you have fat pad loss, and these are meant to absorb more so depends how efficient your gait is
If you had to make a basketball shoe, how would you design it in regards to technology, material and general design such as heel to toe drop, fore foot shape and heel collar?
Usually for soccer you need more ridged because of the soft grass but those also need to be custom because of the low volume of a soccer boot - I’m sure they could help but most soccer players I’ve treated I’ve had to go custom
