Wow thanks so much Craig! This is my first ever super comment. Thanks for being the first and for the support mate. Glad you noticed the pop shield too haha.
Think Trippier is a good option tbh. Especially with Neco having Everton in gw3 and Pereira having Brighton in gw5 when Trippier has City in gw3 and Liverpool in gw5.
@@matthewzadrov6141 good or bad? I’m assuming you are saying he is a bad choice lol. Yes his fixtures are tough but after the opening 5 his fixtures get really good. You can navigate around the tough fixtures with good bench options. He is worth it in my opinion, on every set piece can’t go wrong.
@@skngnr yeah it is risky. i've managed to go strong on defence whilst having diaz. here's my draft if you want to take some inspiration from it :) Ederson Cancelo Gabriel Trent Neto Martinelli Salah Luis Díaz Jesus Kane SUBS: Hennessey, Neco, Pereira (Andreas), Plange
Good stuff, Oscar! Keep it up buddy! I'm currently sat on Mahrez too - the charity shield will hopefully tell us more. I'm also leaning towards Robertson as my third Liverpool player, but that means Cancelo or a Chelsea FB miss out.
Looking forward to your updated draft tomorrow oscar, this is definitely the season that I’m switched on the most with my best rank being only just within the top 350k in the 17/18 season, which was my 2nd in fpl, and I have to say this is the channel I will be keeping my eye on the most
Very useful thanks Oscar. Having you RU-vid guys doing all the research is such a time saver for me, I can put in minimal time into the game and max time into work and family
Thanks mate. Yeah this is as much as I could narrow it down haha, there's about 500 players in the game. Gonna be even harder nailing down that final 15
Making a tier list and deciding who is best to worst and trying to get as many of the highest featuring players in the team makes team selection much easier
Why didn't you add Matty Cash in the defence section? Aston Villa has decent fixtures with strong forwards, will definitely help the defenders to acquire more points. Or is there something I am unaware about?
I'm on kane now instead of haaland, city notoriously take a good few weeks to kick in to gear and the same could be said for kane but with conte in charge I think he'll be raring to go
J. Lingard, N.Williams and B. Johnson at Forest are going to be great budget finds. Almost guaranteed to start every match and no European matches midweek to worry about..
I'm currently at kane > haaland kane is prem proven good opening fixture and I'm almost certain haaland will pick up lots of injuries this season considering his record and a much more physical league
Hi mate, just wanted to let you know that some of the fixtures are off for some of the players! Believe it's the case for TAA, Cancelo, as well as some other players!
community shield should show us some insight into the city side. That way we will know about whether to buy Mahrez or Grealish. For the first 5 we have to get as many City assets as possible. Their fixtures are too good.
this is very similar to my own watchlist, but I've played around with some other players on top of these, although unlikely I'll pick them for the first round.
Think saliba is a shout considering it’s an arsenal defender for 4.5M n based on pre season it looks like he’s going to start a lot especially considering the tomiyasu injury
I am currently on Haaland over kane. Reason is I have SON over salah. And don’t want my 2 premiums to be on the same team for captain matchups. I also don’t want to build in a transfer right away to week 2. Week 1 kane is the pick. Week 2 Haaland is the pick
Thanks for another great video. Your graphics and way you put up your videos and with talk around it is top class Oscar, so thanks 👍 But did you forget SON? Keep up the good job 🥇 Oscar 🥇
What about Kulusevski? Massivly underrated, and he is overlooked because people is worried about playtime after richarlison coming in. Imo he will for sure be a regurly starter, and richarlison will be rotating not only with him, but also kane and son at end of games.
I am definitely on Kane over Haaland. Haaland isn’t proven and his only goal is against a team he’s played loads of times, from the league that plays looser at the back. Here is the real reason: if he does not have a brace and Kane plays well, or if Haaland goes off (or comes on) at 60, hundreds of thousands will drop him and pick up Kane. His value will drop .1 or maybe .2. Kane has lower ownership so dropping in value is less risky, but he could increase if the Haaland bandwagon is knee jerked. There is no chance that Haaland will increase in value regardless of results.
I’d rather Gabriel for the same price. Mendy’s appealing since there’s no nailed Chelsea 5.0 def, and no nailed City 5.5 def which is why I like Ederson. Just my thinking there
@@FPLFocal I personally feel Chelsea's defence is a trap this season, or at least the beginning of it. Half the CBs left, Thiago Silva's getting old, there's only one new replacement who will have to gel in, James might end up playing RCB instead of RWB if Azpi leaves (still have Reece though) and Chilwell has just recovered from a season-long injury and we don't realistically know if he'll be able to replicate his results. Fixtures are good, but I can see them losing a couple of goals. But that's just my opinion and as a Chelsea fan I'd love to be proven wrong.
Really helpful thank you. Any thoughts on starting Cucurella? Could be a problem if he moves to Man City and what would happen if you already have three of their players which I would?
I have watched a ton of pre-season FPL videos but I think this has been the best one so far. Informative, thought-provoking and most importantly simple! Keep it up, Oscar. :D
What do you think of Nottm Forest strikers Johnson and Awoniyi? Johnson takes all set pieces which is very tempting same as Ward Prowse Their fixtures are difficult for now but maybe later on?
No Vardy, Maddison or Barnes? Not having 1 player from the 4th best attack last season with all having a good pre season scares me. Particularly Maddison, where you can target those first 3 fixtures and then move on to someone like Saka.
I prefer a few other 8m mids ahead of Maddison but he could certainly start well. I prefer Rashford/Martinelli/Grealish etc over Barnes too. Leicester are doing well in pre-season though, could throw up a few surprises
@@FPLFocal That's fair on Madders. I do think Barnes is overlooked though. He is running at Right Backs more directly than ever in pre season, and I would say is a safer and more minutes / talisman pick over those others. That being said I do have Martial, Martinelli and a City triple up else where so it's about team structure. Great Vid as always.
Such a fucking dilemma. You take him out, your team is strong in every position. But if he goes off, and he’s apparently looking sharp in pre-season then you risk having to catch up early. I think you bring him in and see how lpool start the season because you will not be that far behind the pack if it looks like the lpool midfield aren’t creating as much as previous seasons
How dumb would it be not to include James in my team? Instead, I'd then rotate Neco Wiliams, a 4.5m defender (Jonny?) and Andreas Pereira for my 11th slot. That'd free up an extra 1.5m to spend on my midfield.
