The edge. Every edge. All the edges. The edges of the pieces. The edges just specially made for the pieces. The piece's edges. Those edges. For the golden parts on the foam pieces you could add decals from the Transfer Sheet, if you don't have one it's still easy to get and would add the missing touch.

Agreed!! That would definitely be perfect! I was also thinking maybe printing extra panels with the necron script like on the Plasma Generator!

Yeah I know what you mean! We felt like this would be the best of both worlds! And i think there is a compromise where the majority is made traditionally with some added 3d printed parts! Glad you liked the video!

Combine the Foam with 3d printed details. Easy way to make bigger pieces that look great and it allows for easier variaty than a fixed file of the complete thing.

Appreciate that you demonstrated both foam core and 3d prints for the terrain here. I find both look great, however do agree that the foam core would be a better option for the bigger pieces! Was the foam core also found to be faster for the bigger pieces compared to the 3d printing in terms of build? Regardless, I'll be putting these templates to use! Keep up the amazing videos, especially the terrain ones!

I would say the foam core was faster in terms of hours but when you can 3D print while you're at work or sleeping it is a lot less work for great results. Milling the foam takes time and you have to actually make it happen! But it all depends! Some people like the detailed building process as well!

Great video! Perhaps some Eldar buildings/terrain would be good? Underserved by GW, and you could get plenty of inspiration from the DoW games.

Thanks!! I used Vectorworks for the majority of the modeling but then Blender for the Obelisk and energy balls. I want to start doing the majority of the modeling in Blender from now on though since it's a free program and Vectorworks is certainly NOT!
