Title Update 3 still mentions "Powered Up Monsters", so we can expect 1 or 2 new "Risen" Elder Dragons who can overcome the Qurios like Malzeno does. I personally wants a Risen Teostra. Just because it's already long overdue for him to get somesort of a new variation.

Technically Gore Magala is not an elder dragon, that changes when it matures into a Shagary Magala. For its adolescence it is classified as an unknown type Steven because it can still be trapped and infected

@@yiangaruga4928 I mean, the fight still looks extremely revamped, seemingly adding in new mechanics (it looked like he powered up with the orange glow around him) ATs in world were just stat bumps where just a handful of them got 1 or 2 new moves. Still sucks we have no molten tigrex, but if they're introducing AT equivalents then the way they've done it in sunbreak is fantastic

This is a mixed bag for me, on the one hand, Violet Mizutsune looks about as pretty as his normal variant, Risen Chameleos is dope, and it’s about time Layered Weapons came around On the other, did Mizutsune need to be yet another fire monster? Could’ve easily been a port of Explore’s thunder variant! These updates are mainly just fire and non-elemental monsters, *where’s the love for the other 4 elements?!*

The Violet Mitzune's circle attack reminds me of fairy circles! If the Violet Mitzune represents fairies from European folklore, that would be another part of European fantasy/folklore that Sunbreak incorporates, along with vampires, golems, and werewolves. It makes sense too, as I think the Mitzune is based on the Japanese trickster fox spirit, which fullfills a similar role in Japanese folklore as fairies do in Western folklore: beings from the woods that are not to be trusted.

Thoughts; Flaming Espinas: My big boom cousin is back with fiery-poison explosions! Violet Mizutsune: good use of Apex Mizu's flaming bubbles. (I'm also happy because this is the first variant in a while to just use a color in it's name) and Risen Chameleos: really cool concept of elder dragons not being able to be afflicted normally and go crazy when they suppress the power. overall really good title update, I think the reason why the november title update is hidden is because a monster other than a subspecies, variant, or rare species will be in it!

I don't think its a Variant, looks more like an ED version of an Apex or Afflicted monster. Edit: Yep, its confirmed that Risen monsters are Apex/Afflicted Elder Dragons. There are (most likely) *more* coming.

My one thing that I’m not too keen on is that almost EVERY sub-species of monster has just been made 🔥spicy🔥 or extra extra spicy… like we haven’t seen a polar opposite or different element change of a monster… and then the weapons and armor are the same but a semi different hue

Wow! Im loving this update. I do agree that there is to much fire monsters but it is what it is. On the other hand im really excited about the risen monsters and what other monster are gonna becom risen as well. Also, glad they brought layered weapons early in the roadmap.

Glad we're getting layered weapons. Curious what that yellow aura around new Chameleos variant is. For the love of Gog though why did they make the new Mizu rare species fire element?😞 I mean at least they explained it's using some kind of gas to make his bubbles but A) It feels like fire goes against Mizu's thematic concept of being this graceful and serene creature and B) most of the subspecies in Sunbreak are already fire/explosion based. They could have done something more unique that feels like it actually expands on Mizu's core ideas like how Acidic Glavenus expanded on Glavenus's sword tail concept rather than just add fire and explosions to its bubbles.They didn't even have to change its elements up. They could have just expanded on what it can already do or give it a status we don't see very often like some paralysis bubbles. Also, I guessed wrong on Molten Tigrex 😭

while the fire thematic with mizu has already been used multiple times before, to be fair in both soulseer and apex, the fire thing was like an extra, they were still very much water monsters first. Violet on the other hand really seems like a complete element swap, wich is different. yeah, there's already a LOT of fire monsters in the game, and specially in the updates, but that's capcom being capcom, they've always had a prefference for fire monsters
