The first day of our 2021 trip did not disappoint! It was awesome to find lots of smooth sand and to practically have the place to ourselves. Huge shout to to Connor for all the extra filming he did in this video! Big thanks to all the friends and fellow creators that make days like this extra priceless! I can't wait to share more!

Yo, Pete, just wanna say thanks for all you do for the sport! I'm 15, and your videos got me into sport quads two years ago (the Iowa vids and you ripping with Chad the first time) and lead me to discover a love for engines that God willing will help me start my own atv company one day. I'm currently engine swaping a warrior 350 believe it or not. The crank had a bunch of play in it when i tore the motor down, so i bought a basket case 2002 kx125 dirtbike motor for $380 i'm probably $600 deep right now including the warrior frame, and i should have the motor together in a couple weeks, and have it running and driving by Christmas. This will be my first sport quad so wish me luck, lol! Thanks again for all have done and are doing!!🤘🤘

You should go to Utah’s little Sahara lots of dunes and trails definitely recommend it. There is also a huge mountain called sand mountain it extremely fun

I'm 11 years old and have a 2008 yfz450 and I got it this year stock but with hmf exaughst. My birthday is coming up November 7 and I'm getting some little things for the quad I love you're vids and I wish you could come to my house one day at my trails with your 450 and to my home quad and dirt bike track that we go to sometime but I'm far away from you.

I was looking into those new Urmosi 720 handlebar mounts, they look good but WOW there pricey! Maybe I can get some when I win the lottery. I was excited about getting them when they were 1st talked about but can't at the price right now, maybe someday. Stay safe Pete and another great video. 🤙👍

Without riding a flex bar set up, riding the urmosi set up is Awesome! I can't compare the 2, but the 720 is a mint setup. Sitting on it there's so much movement every way, but riding it you don't notice it, it's just a insane feel. I need to ride a set of flex, but I really liked the 720 set up.

I wish I had know you was down by the main gate I would have swung down and said hi, I was doing the plumbing in the park area just north of the main gate. Was pretty much total torcher that week having to work and seeing all the 250rs go by

Unfortunately tire availability is crazy limited at the moment. I do plan to try a set of buffed Skat Trak edge's to compare to some of these other angled paddles in the future! 👍

Lol oh and I think it was this video where Conner got some air coming up the sandy hill! He was ripping and I thought that was you! Lol Go Conner! Lol Tyreese quad is definitely loud above all! Lol I remember racing with him at Busco Beach 2020! But hey! Thanks Tim! My skat tracks are mounted on douglas blue label wheels. I'm not sure what brand the wheels are that came with those sand geckos. I'd say the blue labels would be too thin for more rugged riding. If you want a clean, polished wheel I would probably get red label douglas wheels 👍

Thanks man! We actually saw a lot of KFX450's in the last 2 days of the trip! LTR's are becoming increasingly rare. We did ride with one though later in our trip!

hey man, im really enjoying the dune videos. Really keep up the good content. my parents have aleays been into the atv mudding but that was not my thing to be honest. so i started watching youtube videos about pepole riding and u were one of the best ones i found. u had similar intrest like i have. u dont like the water and so dont i so i really enjoied the ripping. so we had a trx450 with a blown head. now its a 520 because i installed the highcomp kit. ur videos gave me bunch of inspiration and im thinking to start a youtube channel for a predator 500 series that i bought a month ago. such a cool thing for real. do you have any tips for these quad videos and how to make them, what to film and what not to film. but have a nice day Pete! also when is the next video up?😇

Sand Geckos didn't hook up well on my yfz. I was getting beat by quads with much less HP then I got my 10 paddle haulers and started beating everyone.

The Skat Tracks are epic for drag racing but for free riding and sliding I didn't care for how much grip they had. They're not very predictable when sliding, they would hook aggressively without warning sometimes. For straight line performance they're unbeatable though! 🤘

You can find them on ebay by typing in "raptor 700 warning labels" and there's several to choose from. These were originally stainless steel but I had them powder coated black👍

The rear tires were with us for the trip. The buffed straight paddles don't slide in the corners at all so I picked up a set of used angled paddles online. The geckos worked pretty well I thought. The skat's are amazing in a straight line though!

@@joshbeck289 I would’ve grabbed sand stars but the back lefts have been backordered for a 9 inch rim and I wanted to use my OEM wheels. The smooth angled paddles seem to slide well yet still hook up in a straight line. The full tire buff on the skats provides a lot of traction as well as reduces the weight significantly. The skat tracks are super lightweight and definitely are worth the investment if your looking for maximum performance. I hope to get a set of skat trak edge angled paddles to compare them to the stars someday 👍

It really depends on how I'm riding. If it's a more chill, exploratory ride then the Raptor tends to be more comfortable and practical with its torquey motor and ergonomics. It's at home in the trails doing hill climbs and long days riding. The YFZ is definitely a more race oriented machine with a much more aggressive seating position and faster revving motor. It's at home in the corners and on the jumps. It can be a stiff ride when going slow but it's very smooth when being ridden fast. If I'm riding at my limit's I definitely prefer the 450 but the Raptor has it's advantages on a more practical stand point. I use the analogy of the Raptor being a muscle car and the YFZ being a sports car 👍

We still have it. The plan is to do some simple upgrades over the winter. It's a great back up machine and we haven't needed it for that reason at all. I do have some content filmed with it from before little sahara that I plan to share after the trips footage is finished being edited👍
