Friday The 13th, my favorite horror franchise of all time. Betsy Palmer actually hated this movie and only did it because she needed a new car, but over the years she started to lighten up and was very grateful for all of the fan adoration it brought her. I'm glad you brought up the incident about the snake. Another story is that the snake handler was in tears because it was his pet. This is something that didn't have to happen. They could've done the kill off screen and would've gotten the same results! No alive animal should be killed for a movie. Just my opinion. I loved the ending. Alice is in the canoe, we see the cops and we think it's over, expecting to see the end credits, suddenly Jason appears out of nowhere for that classic jump-scare. Something other horror movies would copy. I think Friday The 13th may hold the record for most movies in a horror franchise, unless the Saw franchise beats it? Gotta mention the 2009 re-boot. That is probably my favorite film in the franchise. Jason isn't some lumbering zombie, he's a hunter, he knows how to use traps and weapons, using the underground tunnels was a smart way to show how Jason gets around. There's something about Jason running at you, full speed with machete in hand, that's damn scary!! Then we've got to mention Freddy vs Jason! It took a while, but we finally got what we wanted. It stinks that Kane Hodder didn't get to play Jason in that film. When you mention Friday The 13th and Jason, you instinctively think of Kane Hodder. So many rumors were circulating on why they didn't want Kane. One is they wanted someone taller, the other is they wanted to distance themselves from the last two Friday films because of the critical bashing they took. Ken Kirzenger took over the role and at first was harassed by fans, which I think was unfair. Like Kane said, the film was going to be made nonetheless. Fans later warmed up and accepted Ken, which is cool. Freddy vs Jason isn't a masterpiece. The movie has some logic gaps, but it gives us what we want and that's to see Freddy and Jason beat the Hell out of each other. I don't know why they didn't bring Heather back as Nancy or Tom back as Tommy Jarvis. I think fans would've marked the Hell out for them. There was talk of having Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, from Evil Dead. The talks actually went back and forth for a long time. Unfortunately it died when they didn't want Freddy to be killed by Ash. I'm still shaking my head about that one. I think they missed a golden opportunity! Fans would've went wild for that movie!! There was talk about doing a sequel to the 2009 re-boot, but now someone has told me that another re-boot may be in the works. Love Friday The 13th, but how many times can you tell the same story? I think the sequel to the 2009 version would be a better choice. You said it best when you said Friday The 13th is on the mount rushmore of horror films. The franchise has spawned several movies, clothing, posters, and video games. In fact, Harry Manfredini stated that a new Friday The 13th video game is in the works. There's nothing better than watching a Friday The 13th movie with some good mates', some good food, and a pint or two of Guiness . Your channel is awesome and you're doing a great job. I think this may still hold the record for the horror franchise with the most sequels, but I'm not 100% sure on that! As for Freddy vs Jason vs Ash - all the creators of each character couldn't decide on who would die in the end. It is certainly a shame because it would have been insane to see something like that. I guess it just wasn't meant to be!
F13 Is my favorite horror franchise, Jason has a special place in my heart cus I was scared sh*tless of Freddy Krueger as a kid and to me Jason was the good guy that killed Freddy lol. Keep up the great videos mate! Cheers from Mexico
When you know a piece of sports equipment because of a horror character, and not because of the sport its used in 😂😂😂, but in all seriousness, Friday the 13th is one of the greatest horror franchises of all time, and one of my all time favourite horror characters, great job buddy loving these 31 nights of fright
