I honestly avoid his demos nowadays for purchasing. Him and that devil Mike Hermans. They're so good you can't tell if the damn thing is ACTUALLY good lmao. It's a "Destroyer", I think. It's sick, isn't it? I'd be happy with an Explorer, though. Either, really. I've been really warming to the idea of getting one lately. I used to think the Ex shape was ridiculous, preferring a Firebird instead. But lately I've realised I only want that cos it looks cool. The performance I want...it's all in the Explorer.

Excellent and informative demo as always, Pete! Pull up to your local jam with this and a 1x12 for an easy load-in and rocking tone, or run line level into class-D into a 2x12 at 4-ohms in parallel for the lightest awesome wet power amp! Did the latter last weekend with an Interblock, and it was epic. Just make sure your line out has a ground lift and phase switch just in case -- otherwise it squeals like a pig.

I also have this amp. Just came 2 weeks ago. The sound is awesome! Everyone gaped at how loud this little amp made. I paired it with a 2x12 cabinet (because this amp has 2 output jacks for speakers, @16ohm each) and it vibrates my house glass :-))

Killer tones, as usual for Pete! Love the Dry/Wet idea - I currently use a Trademark 10 combo as my wet amp, and the Suhr line out box. If I get a Marhall 1912 cab, and the BE Mini, I can use it as the wet side, OR rock out using the BE Mini and Marshall cab! Win-win! Now to convince my wife....!

Not intended as excessive or blanket praise, but some appreciation may be in order IMO: World-class playing + approachable and likeable attitude = unbeatable combination. One can learn a thing or two from Mr Thorn. I know several excellent players in the guitar world (both classical and electric) who are also role models in this regard.

This thing sound great! I understand Pete's disclaimer that it won't replace the full-size tube amp but for most musicians I think it could. After all, how many musicians are actually gigging? A relatively low percentage, I'd wager. Even I, a life-long working musician, am only just getting back to gigging regularly with the hope of a return to full time soon. And I know of several musicians who have left the business - as pros, at least - and might like to have something like this to jam with.

It made me chuckle on that comment about choosing the bass cut on the contour switch for rhythm and the other settings for lead. I remember when people used to call bridge pickups "lead" and neck pickups "rhythm". That always seemed backward to me.

It might be cool, but it's a novelty at best. No A-lister is going to use it as part of their regular rig. It's a BE-OD pedal and 30w Class D amp in a box. As for Reamping and Wet-Dry...one could purchase a power amp specifically for that, like an ART SLA-1 for @ $240 v. $330 for the BE-Mini and the SLA-1 is 100 watts instead of 30 watts! I just don't see any real application for it beyond being a novelty item! Cool video as always thou!!

I picked one up and really enjoy it. I know people have a lot of criticism for it , but I really enjoy how flexible it is… use it as a pedal, use it as a head, etc.

Throwing a Friedman$$$$ around like a football????....What in God's name am I watching!!!!....haha, ....these just showed up at my local guitar store. ....friedman, Soldano, Bogner Ecstacy and Diezel.....All the amps I could never afford. 30 Watts, Solid State,...$399 Canadian.....hmmm......Is this the wave of the future or a gimmick? To be honest I am tempted to pick up at least 1....Anyone else have experience with the series? Of course Pete makes it sound great, but that is always a given. What about "normal" players?...haha...(no offence Pete)

What is the name of your line of amps? I absolutely love Friedmans... I love that old Ibanez Destroyer btw.... WHat year model is it sir? I have owned a 1979 Ibanez ST-50 since my ESP Eclipse ( not LTD) was stolen in 2000... At the time i got it I was way young and HAD NO FUCKING CLUE that i was about to get the finest electric guitar Id ever play again... now i just lucked up and got it a new body ( because it got fucked up years ago... have hated life ever since) but i have the old V2 pickups, the circuitry, and tone/volume, the original heavy duty bridge and tail peice and tuners and I am SO happy to have my baby back... I look forward to watching more of your videos... ( Forgive my ignorance of your Amps, I look forward to checking those out as well sir, thank you much!- )

Just wanted to drop in and thank you for the demonstration of using the effects return as a power amp. I was looking into buying one for the exact purpose you demonstrated but wasn’t sure if it was a drastically bad idea. I’ve already got the suhr reactive load and 100 watt heads but I’ve just been reamping my 100 watt into another 100 watt. Neither amps have a master volume so it is still quite loud. I’m hoping this might be the ticket for quiet mid day jamming in the bedroom studio! I’ve tried all sorts of stuff, I still prefer playing through my favorite cabinet and amps over IR in the DAW, or through headphones so I’m hoping it can all work out for me nicely.

Great playing. But. Maybe it’s just me. But how much of this gear sounds great on you tube,then you get it home and it sounds nothing like the video and is incredibly disappointing. I have wasted thousands from you tube videos and salesman that play great guitar to grab my attention. Finally I think I am satisfied with just playing the guitar and done with all of these new products out every other week

It's a practical version of the real 100w version tube amp because it's very affordable and most musicians have no need for 100w tube amp. Most of the time I play on stages requiring a silent or very quiet stage. This is a more practical solution to get a decent tone.

It’s funny some people have been flaming this thing like “it’s not a tube amp, it’s only a BE pedal with a solid state power amp”. Well kinda it also has a presence control and an effects loop, and it’s frickin cool. Like these people would be touring the world with a Marshall mini stack, or a Orange tiny terror. Same people that would complain about no ice maker, or water dispenser on the Marshall mini fridge. Here’s them🧐…………………………………..……………………………………………………………………….over here is the point!

Hi Pete! Do i need to take care of the phase of the signal out of the line out , or this signal will be in phase? i 've seen in the wet dry it's necessary a split box with the reversed phase out ... thanks if you'll have time to answer 👍🏻

It's essentially a BE-OD pedal with a Texas Instruments Class D amp-on-a-chip. You can buy assembled boards with the TI TPA3116 chip that can put out 50 clean watts into 4 ohms for less than $15 on Amazon, and half that or less if you're willing to wait to get it shipped from China. You'll need a 24v laptop power supply, just like the BE Mini uses.
