In This video, I put DTF ink in an ET-8550 that has already been used for Sublimation. Special thanks to: Kevin and Abby at BCH Technologies, J&J Professional Hangry Muscle DTFMasterJay Irondesigns813 CraftableThings
I want to thank you for making this video. I have watched so many video's about converting my ET 8550. This video is amazing. I really wish I would have found this one first so I would have had a different idea on how to disassemble my printer. Too late but I did enjoy this. I really like the idea of the white ink in the separate tank with the auger. I have not done this one yet but I sure am going to do it now that I see what and how to do it. So thank you again. I am kind of curious as to the brand of ink you used. I am torn as to which one to use because everyone tells you to use theirs if you watch a video and since you didn't, and your prints looked good, I would ask you this. Thanks again Karen
Bro!!!! This is a game changer!!!! My first 8550 died with the paper jam error code. So I will have to buy another one but will definitely use this method ! Thanks for the video!!!!
Did you try reset it? Also post on eBay as people buy those for other parts. I bought used eco tank $25 with an error. I did hard reset and clean the head and got it working. Paperjam could also be motherboard if you’re handy.
Wow, that’s interesting! I had no idea you could do this! Also, the original ink tanks look really interesting. Any chance you could make a video on them if you still have them? Looks like it had all sorts of crazy siphons in there!
Thank you for the great video! When you heat pressed the gorilla head onto the white square created to cover the ink lines, was that done with sublimation or dtf?
Flushing eco tank : you can buy a kit that fit specifically for your printer. They use a solution ( diluted distill water and rubbing alcohol) and flush the ink out.
Can the epson wf 7820 be converted to DTF? I watched your video couple years ago for the sublimation which was a success converting but now I’m curious if same printer can be used for DTF
Can you please make a video on how to install the system and can you please provide a link for the materials you are using the ciss system and the princesscover God
I'm new to this and interested in getting this printer but for the life of me I really don't get why someone would choose to convert to DTF from sublimation with all the extra steps needed to take to get that done on such an expensive piece of hardware.. can someone explain this to me?
Hey bro, like many this video is a big help, I got the error code but I'm doing the opposite converting the Epson 8550 from DTF to Sublimation. Same method can work right?
Yes. If you used the original tanks when you setup for dtf, then I would use a ciss, as you won’t be able to get all the white ink out of the oem tanks.
hello i have this printer and converted to dtf, and im printed blank pages, do you have any idea why? now i know i need to cadlink software, do i need the software to print images? yes i have dtf into tanks. help please if you can. i need answers
If you are using a ciss make sure the vent holes are open at the tanks. If you are using the oem tanks, then make sure you do a power clean to get the ink into the dampers.
The screws are on the bottom. You have to remove the front and top panel to access them. Each tank has a silver screw on the bottom of the tank that holds it in.
This particular CISS i already had here. The 4 color CISS can be found pretty much anywhere on Amazon or Ebay. The White Ink tank can be found on Amazon too. I have not seen a kit where they come together though.
