On a personal level, I see the paintings as having a tremendous amount of energy. I hope you will keep that.

I really like them black and white. But whatever you decide will be the right choice.

I love watching the progression of your work, your choices, bravery and not keeping things precious. The results are stunning and I think whatever you decide to do with them will be perfect. As I watch you I'm usually thinking about what I would do and at times I think NO! don't cover that up and then you add something else and it's fantastic and very you and you are wonderful. I will be anticipating what you decide to do and look forward to seeing the end result. Please share it when you finish. I like the cool gray personally. The word I would use is industrial. They are very peaceful even with all the interest. Normally I love color a lot but I like these the way are. Beautiful 😊

You're right about the lack of warmth. A warm grey may be better than a cream though. I would reccomend a fluro red and fluro pink to be added, but very minimal, only applied with a 000 brush, a few lines, maybe a couple of mm long. Just a tiny hint of the unexpected. And if you feel a little more adventourous, then a hint of collaged cobalt blue somewhere?

These are so cool … I’m only 6 minutes in … they seem cold and like film noir movie posters from the 50’s . … can’t wait to see what you do ✌🏼

i LOVE color. so, my first thought is to add some color. but these are beautiful! in a modern looking home/office they're best left in black & white. spray paint is fun! maybe next time, let them dry out & air out in the garage for a few days. loved watching you do these pieces. you gave me an idea--i'm doing a pink piece. i have some pink ink in a spritzer bottle, i think i should try a bit of it. thanks for your suggestion to use it.

Hello Jackie: I love black and white, but I know that making the white warmer, as you said, would be more appealing. A pale yellow with white can be very luminous and if you added some gold as well, that could be just the ticket. I’d like to see them if you do and maybe once you complete them, you will change your mind again.

I like your paintings as they are. If they were mine I probably couldn't resist to choose a small spot somewhere for a little bright color as a surprising focal point. Great video, thanks Jackie!

Color would change the vibration level and create more tension and mystery. In the end only thing that matters is how you feel about it and if it took you where you wanted to go.

Wow, there is a whole lot of pentimento going on here. I admire your gutsy attacks on the canvases. I would not add color to them (or not yet) because I sense the process is ongoing. They have a dark, brooding energy, but are not morose. I suggest you wait until you know what they say about you and to you, about the time of their emergence. That's my 5 cents worth of art consultation. I like them, they are not easy to forget.

I think they are amazing with such depth...I DO think you should keep them black and white. There is a harmony of chaos. I know that is an oxymoron but I believe that is why I love them so.

Titan buff for a little warmth would be nice, esp with Quin Gold. I used spray paint once or twice, but couldn't stand the smell even after leaving the paper outside to dry in the hot sun for a few days. I think it would take a good two weeks in the sun to completely off-gas.

Wow! Love seeing this side of your work. I vote "black and white". I'm with the viewer who used the word industrial - this series is very much Jackie despite being monochromatic. But ultimately YOU have to be satisfied with the outcome. ♥♥♥

Brava! Love these pieces - so much to draw you in and they demand attention. I don't know if I would add colour, it could just tip them over into "comercial", trying to appease the market...? Maybe, just a blush/glaze over one corner or side. Let us see if you do anything, please.

Hi Jackie ... Happy New Year! I do like these in b/w. Do a new set with color.

I love these, but a pop of color on each--gold, yellow, lime green, red, orange, turquoise--would really more life into them.

These have a very different feel because of the limited palette. And that's not a bad thing. There are so many options going forward. Adding colour would totally change the pieces. If this was me I would probably keep them in greyscale an develop them further, as that is how the intention started. Whether you choose to add colour or not, I don't think there's a right or wrong answer. They will just be very different outcomes.

I love the black and white. If you add colour I’d go for Nickel Azo Gold or similar.

Hi there. I like the far left one, before you spray painted it. There is a brand that does not smell and can be used inside, not sure about quality though. I would have been nice to have numbered them, that way e could have kept track of our favorite and see it evolve to the very end. Great video, I’ll continue watching,❤

Instead of color I would probably add warm white (mix with PY42 for example) and warm grays - putty, taupe, graphite, etc - and possibly extra black like PBk1.

Just wanted to mention that there is also water based spray paints. I can't speak on if they smell or not. Just that it might be a way to get the look of spray paint and use spray paint that may not have the smell of regular spray paint...

If I was going to add any colour I would add red, but maybe that is too obvious. I do love them though. I think I would leave them all as they are.

I AM TREMENDOUSLY CURIOUS ABOUT HOW YOU ACHIEVE THE EFFECT ON THE SECOND CANVAS FROM YOUR RIGHT TO YOUR LEFT. It looks like a poster figure appeared or jumped from somewhere from 4:06 to 4:07 minutes of the video, and then later he/she is gone, you mentioned most of your papers were tissue, is this tissue paper too, transfer poster on tissue or what????. Thank you and about color, Thank you for asking, but l am sure at the end you will follow your soul. Love the energy in each one.😢

I've loved watching this, and thank you so much for sharing. However, I'm puzzled about something. The only specific you mentioned leading to possibly adding color was that they aren't "warm." Based on your comment about about your son's height, I'm guessing you've been working on these for a while and that you were committed to exploring black-and-white at the start. It might have been Louise Fletcher who said, "Make sure you know your 'why'," What was your 'why' when you began, and what is your 'why' now for wanting them to be warmer? It could be that some tender or sunny aspects have become part of your life and you want that in your paintings. It could be you are experiencing a need for more warmth in your life and the search for those in your paintings may be part of that exploration. It could be something entirely different. Finding your 'why' may help you solve your quandary about color.
