Son - what is the difference between Sachin and Virat ? Dad - Kohli is a famous cricketer of India And Sachin made cricket famous in India . I personally started watching cricket only because of this man , May be all his record will break But the carisma and aura of this man remain untouched.
When commentator said he didn't have best of 2003 .. The same year he was man of tournament in world Cup... Such a standard of sachin tendulkar.. Greatest of the game...
playing a cover driver puts a lot of strain on your elbow and he had started to develop that problem after 2003...he almost left playing streght drive after 2007 and many bowler got him out with inswinger because he tried to flick the ball and missed...specially Anderson
Brett lee concede 200 runs yet had admiration for Tendulker , show how much respect he had! Brett lee was one of the rarest gentlemen in Aussies team along with Gilly and Hussey!
His form was declining...injuries were starting to take a toll on his body and still he made 241* without a single cover drive...imagine the force He was in his prime. For those who have seen it, like me and million others, still believe that He's the best! Great, great knock!
He was playing his 111th Test match in this innings and he ended up playing 89 more. So I don't think he was unfit but has tremendous resolve and hunger to succeed. Every player has its share of injuries throughout their careers!!!
@@sameer123wipro I agree with u that Being a Cricketer Injury is everyone's cup of tea.. but Sachin had undergone multiple operations on his body before 2000 itself.. so apart from these injuries facing World class bowlers cum fielders and hitting double century that too in their home ground is something excellent🔥
@@manjunathgobbani Sachin is no exceptions to number of injuries as a cricketer hence always talking about injuries and he making runs does not make sense. He making runs is because of his talent and hunger to perform as long as he could. You need to appreciate that. Also from an argument perspective this was his highest score in Test cricket and no injury was stopping him to play a cover drive here. It was his mental capacity that overcame a small weakness he had temporarily 😊
1. VK is never going to break Sachin's record of 51 test hundreds 2. Sachin faced 100 times deadlier bowlers than what VK faced . 3. VK ain't getting passed Tendulkar's 18k runs in odis The only records which vk beat sachin is better average in all formats , better strike rate and fastest 10k runs in odi

The era he played was very tough, there was no short boundaries, no power play, no drs ,having bowlers like akram, waqar, shoib, shane bound, Bret Lee, shan Pollock he pulled 100 centuries. Its an extraordinary achiecement.
there should be a video of all the balls he left on off side too. not all but ones which were tempting to be driven. just showcasing the discipline of a batsman who is known to be having one of the best cover drive.
@@rahulroy_60 that was his determination that he forced bowlers to bowl into his body and that's his strength.... This was a true masterpiece innings....
Totally agreed. Only the very best batsmen can coach themselves out of problems … just like this genius, Greg Chappell comes to mind for getting a series of ducks for trying to flick to fine leg at the early part of his innings during 1980-81.
What was very special about that? Maybe till getting to a 100 one can understand he was being cautious. But till 240 no shot on offside? Slow batting killed this test match. india batted till day 3 lunch, totally senseless.
@@srinidhits7934 Regardless of the match situation, it's an incredible feat of concentration and self-control. Saying it's nothing special is silly and almost bitter.
@@srinidhits7934 i don't think you know background about this, he converted his weakness into strength by not playing a single shot there, thats a sign of true skill & class
@@srinidhits7934 well that's the magic of test cricket... Won't accuse you of being bitter, silly or naive as this generation has not experienced the greatness of test cricket...
Remember this series well.. it started with Dada scoring a brilliant 144 at Brisbane. We moved to Adelaide where The Wall score 200 odd with VVS scoring a ton too. We had Viru scoring a swashbuckling 195 on the first day at MCG And here in Sydney we had The Master scoring 241 and Vvs scoring 178. This was a tour worth remembering.
Leading run scorer against Australia till today.....In 110 matches and 144 innings, Tendulkar scored 6,707 runs at an average of 49.68. Scored 20 centuries
@@ahsanahmad3889nobody had ever before made McGrath be on obscurity other than Sachin where he made McGrath's in-swinger sail past for an on drive towards the boundary gloriously.
@@nitheshsp5750 yet still he was McGrath's bunny it's silly that you talked about a single shot that Tendulkar played out of all the contests that they've had look at the stats of McGrath vs Tendulkar you'll get to know whether he was McGrath's bunny or no
Dubbed as "One of the greatest batsman of all times" and still has 7000 more test tuns to score. 8000 more odi runs to score. Lol. This man was something else. Truly the greatest.
Technically he's good..but most of his runs were accumulation on flat pitches against weak attacks. Went missing several times when team needed him..that is on 4th innings in testing conditions against quality attacks. Also on crucial wc knockouts ( 0 in 99 vs aus, 2003 wc final, 2007 wc). Reg this innings: It was a selfish innings on a dead pitch against a weak depleted attack ( no McGrath, Lee coming back after surgery, unfit Gillespie) which ate valuable time and didn't give our bowlers enough time to bowl aussies out and the result was that they escaped with a draw. The need was a quick 100, and instead this guy who all his career has hammered meaningless hundreds to boost his average ( check Bangladesh 2012, for that so called 100th 100 of 148 balls) paying little attention to teams needs. Good that we have a generation of virata, kl, Iyer etc who always put India first!!
@@IITianProudIndian Keep barking haters.😂 Sachin has four 4th inng centuries in tests & highest run scorer for India in ICC knock outs during 1996-2011
@@IITianProudIndian Bruh. Have some respect. You are criticizing one of The greatest cricketers The world has ever seen. The cricket is lucky is get someone like sachin.
@@IITianProudIndian absolutely, he was for sure a good batsman, maybe the greatest too but for himself, counting him in match winners would be humiliation to players like virat, abd, babar etc
People switched off the TVs , left stadiums after this man got out even at the beginning of the match!! None of the cricketers will have that kind of effect (MS came very close) GOAT
@@viraj9565 That's pretty much every players fan base these days, none of them understand cricket. Half of Virat Kohli's followers, just are his fans because of the glamour and stuff around him, 25% of them are people that understand cricket but can't see any faults in Virat Kohli, the remaining 25 percent are actual cricket lovers who like virat kohli as a batsman. Sachin will always remain the best batsman, doesn't matter whether virat breaks his records or not.
I couldn't agree more...there was a time only sachin makes run for india I still remember if he's out no hope for india we turn off tv and countinue with our works 😁😁😁
The thing about Tendulkar that always fascinated me was the kind of fightbacks he did against the best teams of his era and his tremendous batting averages away from home. A true mastercraftsman of any era.
Mark Nicholas has only one talent: verbosely waffling without conveying a single piece of information, or conveying only the most obvious, child-like level of information in an overly patronising manner. Can’t stand him. Such a stereotype of someone who thinks they’re far more intelligent and articulate than they actually are
Richie Benaud, Tony Cozier, Bill Lawry, Barry Richards are all exceptional golden commentators. Although the olden days commentators were the best, my personal favorite will always be the voice of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar -TONY GREIG !!! Also, Harsha Bhogle and Alan Wilkins are my favorites of this Era. 😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙
Just realised again, how lucky I am to have seen this man playing.. No matter if someone breaks his record, the bowlers this team had faced will always be unbeatable!
I wish I knew anything about the sport so I could truly appreciate what it is that I'm watching. I can tell it's something special by the look of frustration on the oppositions face.
Sachin Tendulkar-My All time favourite Batsman to watch and Learn all the Techniques about Batting!!!!!!!!!!!Beautiful Player to watch on the Cricket field!!!!!!!!Genius !!!!!!!!!!
The era of Sachin , love to see those crowd and how they appreciated ..the way they cheered..when I see this video I feel 'wo v kya din tha jaha tv par Sachin batting krta tha..😊❣️
I never forget this series: When I studied a 7 th standard, daily we saw an world map especially Australia Map because of MCG SCG and Sydney those days we don't have Android and we heared a score from radio also I will wake up at morning 4 am because match will start 9 am (Australian time) really unforgettable series.
Cover Drive is an obvious shot for a batsman like his class....🙄 And He even didn't try to commit that shot.....🤫😌 Realising mistakes makes you God from a man 👏👏👏👏👏
God do make mistakes The lord indra made a mistake by hurling vajta on hanuman The lord shiva did mistake by hurling trishool on surya Lord vishnu did mistake in the form lord ram when he left pious pure sita only because his subjects badmouthed her because she was in lanka Lord krishna also made many mistakes but he apologized to his mother when he committed Lord brahma as well did mistakes when he blesses numerous demons with boons which were fatal to mankind Moral:-every god committed mistake but this is not what that made them god but to fight evil ,injustice and support good and justice made them god
It was so heartbreaking to watch him bog down to injuries and extreme expectations, sometimes it felt like crying to see the GOD having to struggle so much. This double century was a thumping the chest moment for me growing up as a teenager.
As a huge virat fan, and his current issues with not being able to leave the ball outside off in 2021, i hope he does something like this! What a knock little master!
Sachin the master Virat is just good look at sachin shots he has beautiful straight drive square cut flik shots and sweep shots slog sweep paddle sweep late fine sweep and to top of sachin is a handy part time bowler Virat is nothing in front of sachin he can't properly square cut nor sweep nor be a part time bowler.
Kohli can only dream to play like Tendulkar... Tendulkar had all round strokeplay... Kohli doesn't have any backfoot shots through the offside for fast bowlers & any type of sweep shot for spinners... He should be happy that he's achieved this much with his limited abilities...
There is nothing fascinating in this world than watching Sachin's batting. What a great knock it was. Such a spectacular player with an awesome attitude. Huge respect sir.. Incredible player 👏 🙌
What an incredible inning. Sachin was getting out while off driving in previous test matches and then he improvised this inning. 248 not out and can you believe it- not a single off drive. What a player 🙌❤️
The beauty of this innings was his sheer determination to not play outside the off stump - he had got out playing cover drive in first 3 test matches of this series and was struggling for runs. He scored majority of his runs on leg side in this innings. Unbelievable self control ! Which is why my generation believes he is best of the best.
Post 2001, Sachin was under incredible pressure to perform in tests. Because Rahul and Laxman were overshadowing him. His own form was declining and he started to doubt himself. In this series too he was under tremendous presure as he hadnt scored much in the previous games. Thus he resolved to play like this and not risk loosing his wicket.
An innings that teaches us, the mortals, what determination is, how to address a lean phase, how to be mentally strong. Thanks Sachin for these important lessons of life. Thank you.
a phenomenon... tears everytime i watch him play.. then and two decades later... now.. hearty thanks to CA for posting these amazing videos... appreciate it.
When ever i feel depressed... i watch this innings .....u can also get success in life with limited abilities n limited resources also, if u plan smartly... i learnt a great lession from this Gem ...sachin shud have batted bit fast to reach 300 runs .. missed a great opportunity.
@ptshrm you don't know what your talking about.. the toughest thing to control is your reflexes.. Like when u drop ur phone or about to fall down.. The fact that he did it between a series with very less practice shows his mastery.. Takes a lot of practice and mental strength.. But you are entitled to have your say!!
If T20 players don't play shots how will the team score runs. T20 isn't about defending. And yea if u talk about tests Steve Smith did it in against NZ. He was getting caught on the pull in the first test. Then he didn't play it.
@ptshrm That tactic can be only applied by NZ because they have Wagner. No other bowler has that amount of stamina. Jofra Archer bowled 7-8 overs of bouncers and is injured even today. Also the tactic isn't smart. They got their bowlers so tired that the other batsmen just had an easy outing. And hence NZ lost 3-0.
@ptshrm Right that's what the speed gun shows. But I saw Steve was really uncomfortable with Wagner's bouncers while it was not so when Archer was bowling except those 2 hits. Wagner due to his slow pace generates uneven bounce and maybe that's what did him.
@@sohagdas8351 Well, Smith's form was boosted quite well in the Ashes by barraging boos too. He's like India's Virat Kohli in this respect, always punches above his potential in case of a hostile environment, however he doesn't expresses that burning desire superficially.
I remember this series he has not scored even 50 before this, media smashed him like anything, under those pressure he came back with bat and replied every one. During all the days i ve never seen him out of form, his dedication to the cricket is unbelievable.
Now thats the innings he played under immense pressure ..those who were following sachin and cricket that time knew it very well he was struggling from form and injuries and he eventually left playing with the heavy bat due to tennis elbow .. this is one of his great innings against one of the greatest Australian team... maan those were the days when cricket was emotion
Agreed.kohli should learn from this innings.he should not attempt cover drive in his first 30-40 balls.after this he is really tough to get out.sachin was master.
