you should watch Majuular's videos on the shadow tower game it goes way more in-depth on these weird formsoft game. Shadow Tower Adyss has such a vibe that I love and I really hope they could a new one or at least remaster the old one.

6:32 I'm on the side that more stats are better even if it's more scarier or confusing, since with more stats you can more differing characters. as an example, in Warhammer fantasy role-play since you have "weapon skills" as their own stats you can have a character with strength of three gorrials but doesn't know how to use a sword or shoot a bow.

On the first shadow tower I heard the game being described as everything fromsoft discarded from previous kings field 123 that would not do well in kings field 4 They made a game out of the outdated things from their other games, that's awesome

29:54 Only in Ds1 could something like that exist, it would be unthinkable in modern Fromsoft titles. It's the small things like the pendant that have been lost as modern souls games have evolved. There's something to be said about the value of an inherently worthless item that is given meaning and value by the community itself.

If you're interested in learning more about Shadow Tower Abyss then I highly recommend that you should check Majuular's video on the game. It's long, over two hours, but it's highly informative. Majuular goes really in-depth on all of his videos; he covers the content of the games he talks about, their development history, and the reception they received.

I remember playing the English translation when I was really starting to get into PS2 emulation. It's a damn solid dungeon crawler that reminded me a lot of Pathways into Darkness.

Hey Kip I don't know if you've seen it yet but if you haven't I would love to see you react to the most recent Monster Hunter Wilds trailer the came out like a day or so ago now at the most recent playstation state of play. Also as a side note, i've no idea how you feel about reacting to things like trailers and the like, but if that's not really your thing then I of course understand, especially with how vile some people can already be about react content.
