This is a great example in how important it is for setup and usability to just be simple. AIG is/was such a pain for new users. FSLTL on the other hand is basically as plug and play as you can get!
absolutely amazing mod, love it. frame rate hit is significant but worth it if you're after immersion and a far superior ATC and large airport experience. hopefully it will get optimized even further and run better in the future
FSLTL is amazing. Did a long haul got a memory leak had to quit that’s another story but at jfk when I started it was so busy. I mean there we’re at least 30-40 planes taking off and landing. And that number kept increasing. I couldn’t even talk to the atc without being interrupted. It was very fun
This is an amazing program, cheers to the developers I'll gladly pay for something like this! it would be awesome if we can have some random GA plan generator for small regional airports, that'll bring some life to it, and also military!!!!!! when I started on the sim world back in 2000 we had some programs like My traffic that created both realistic and fictional flight schedules on every airport despite the size, and military too. Great work guys! keep it up!
It sounds like, folks have to be patient until ground traffic and arrivals get caught up. Like all planes that are taxing when you fire up program won't show up, but once they are gone, all traffic on ground and sitting at the gates, will be current. Same goes for arrivals. I have my traffic amount set at 40% to maintain decent FPS. So, I understand that what I'm seeing on my screen is actually less than what is actually there. Early experimenting, shows PROAtc S/R recognizes traffic that has been injected by the program. Still checking this out. You can also use a program called, LiveATC that you can listen to at your departure airport. Have a good day.
Thanks for this compilation! I did some testing and I use Addon-Linker which works great btw. I tweaked the amount of IFR flights and am surprised with the performance I'm getting on my average Pc. I also noticed the Injector 'waits' when you change Airports and injects the new traffic almost instantly. As I said before it would be great to implement an 'auto-start' function or a command in Addon-Linker (using additional arguments?) to auto start FSLTL with default (or last) settings. Good luck with further enhancing FSLTL ;-)
I installed it today, works great, really brings the airport to life, one small thing is the planes seem to have too much smoke or are showing vapor trails when landing and taking off, that looks very unnatural
It's the best freeware addon for msfs..hands down. AIG was a pain...but this is easy, intuitive and fab. A few issues though at Heathrow..with aircraft spawning and a 'ghost' taking off..leaving the original static on the runway
Looking to create an AI Traffic paradigm that brings back US Aviation to what it was in the mid 1970s...but just the airlines, liveries, and schedules. They would still be flying late model 737's, 787's, A320neos, and so on.
Thanks for your video I swear by this to help me out with FSLTL however I have had to remove after latest Traffic Injector update as of 30th Oct. With FSLTL on no drop in FPS but huge lag and stuttering followed by CTD. Turn it off and all fine again. I tried 8 different airports and had the same result every time. All was fine before this latest update
I have a bit of an oddball question.. I have a virtual airline I fly for myself, and not online. Is there a way I could make like a custom schedule or something with a vmr file so I can make planes with my virtual airline livery appear on routes?
FSLTL is a great start, well done to the team. I noticed that on some smaller airfields without parallel taxiways landed aircraft head straight across the grass etc. and half way to the parking area they would disappear. Is this what should happen at this stage of development?
I did keep AIG and FSLTL and my FPS took quite a hit, almost 15 FPS. But as soon I removed AIG form the community folder, than I regain at least 10 FPS with FSLTL alone. FSLTL still reduce my FPS by 5 or 8 FPS. Not too bad. What I found to all day yesterday testing FSLTL is that a lot more landing then take off. Weird! I tried everything and still not too many take off at CYYZ (Toronto).
Hello i need some help,so my FSLTL planes seem to be landing very late on the runway to the point they taxi off the end of the runway or most dont even land they fly to the end of runway and they try to go around,This happens with most of the air traffic...They seem to be taking off fine but landing is a different story.I never had this problem before but suddenly this issue has been Happening every time i use FSLTL.Iv tried to uninstall and re download but still hasn't fixed the problem,is some one can help or even knows why this is happening PLEASE let me know .Thank you
Can you do a video showing off VFR traffic? I’m not seeing any in the air despite zeroing out ifr and maxing vfr. And when one drops below 1000 will it actually land? Comparisons to FR24 at busy Bay Area GA airports were disappointing with this add on adding parked planes but nothing else despite a full pattern irl.
Great addon. I hope they look at FPS performance as this is the only down side for a mid end PC spec. My Intel i7-900k with 32 gb memory, RTX 2080 super struggles with PMDG 737. Getting just above 30fps and drops to 25 at busier airports. Tried lowering number of aircraft, but not much improvement.
Our models are well optimised, I'd recommend looking at your sim graphics settings if you're struggling for frames. Lowering the number of injected objects is really the only thing we can recommend on our end as the injection process is only using a minuscule amount of performance.
the View AI option does not work. I followed the tutorial and when I click view it just does nothing at all. If I'm viewing another sim object (very hit and miss on other options available) and then click view it just resets to my aircraft view. IDK what is wrong.
Still have not seen any video with aircraft actually flying using FSLTL. So basically what we see are mostly aircraft parked at an airport, based on FR24 data?
Not sure if I'm misunderstanding you but the very first segment of this video shows an Iberia A319 AI aircraft flying. 01:01. FSLTL is an AI traffic addon. It adds aircraft both parked and with flight plans that take off and land as you'd expect.

With FSLTL injected in MSFS, would I actually see the other six aircraft flying if I fly in the same circuit with my plane?
My problem is I get traffic at high altitudes, but nothing ever seems to get injected below about 10000ft so when I’m departing or arriving I get absolutely nothing on tcas or visual on a clear day. I also never get moving traffic on the ground and departure or arrival airport after leaving it up for 15min
Two questions: 1- Stuck planes don't "delete" themselves after the time I stipulated. Why could it happen? 2- I vê seen more then two times planes stuck and stacking up on the runway, they stop stead of roll and fly. Have anyone else seen this?
1) Depends if the injector actually sees them as stuck or not! Take a look at the console output or your log to see what's going on. If you think there's an issue, drop it in the discord! 2) That sounds like a sim issue. The sim is handling all movement of the aircraft after its initially injected.
May have been answered on the live stream, but I noticed on little navmap the AI aircraft being injected almost were never moving greater than 244 kts, no matter how high they were. Is that a limitation in LNM to read speed correctly or is the AI limited in the speed it can go?
Need to watch your first vid but as I watch this one, Is there a way to see what models FSLTL cannot find? I ask because I have ALL AIG Models downloaded and was thinking perhaps removing only the missing FSLTL models would reduce the storage space while securing all the models required for FSLTL? Thanks
You could go through the base models package and note down each model we have. You might still miss some liveries though! You can check the full liveries list at the link in the video description. Either way it will be a pretty painstakingly long process, unfortunately!
I really like FSLTL. However I cannot see the landing gear from a certain distance of the planes on the ground or approaching aircraft. If I get closer, I see the gear. Do you guys have any suggestions to that problem? Thanks for your help!
You can try turning up your objects level of detail slider but this sounds normal if the aircraft is very far away. The sim does this with a lot of objects to save performance.
One more: Is there a way to link AIG's library to FSLTL injector? I heard you mention it on the video, but I didn't find ways to actually do it for offline usage.
What about using historical times, or using AI traffic instead of just live? Some of us can't get into the sim (our favorite) areas because of timezone differences. Is there a way to manipulate the time or something? Example: I love to fly Western or Eastern USA but when I get home, it's already late.

Installed FSLTL, when the injector tries to start it after the line "Injection Started" it says "Failed to connect. Please try again". (Turned off my windows firewall as well).

Has anyone else had an issue where the injector stops working and closes after a few mins of injecting aircraft into the airport? Need to go to the main screen and start the injector again. Also takes a bit longer for the injector to spawn in aircraft compared to what I’m seeing on videos. Maybe a computer spec issue? Internet connection is fine. Haven’t seen it mentioned even on discord etc
My Aircraft does everything but takeoff. I plane spotted for a long while at my home airport Hartsfield Jackson. The aircraft does everything but takeoff? They just sit at the end of the runway and have a picnic. Why is this?
@6:25 You say there is a sim limitation to this. But I run PSXT and RealTraffic and dont have those limitations ALL aircraft are taxiing, you're not waiting. Maybe you guys should bypass the ATC
@@BobbyFuzzy Yes indeed - As of now, one gets all departing and arriving aircraft as well as those taxiing right down to almost perfect matching in times. I believe they gather this info from a few data sources. When you first spawn at an airport it only takes a few seconds to show all the moments. I'm watching Prague Live at the moment and the aircraft landing and taking off match to within a few seconds. It's unfortunate that with FSLTL this isn't the case. At times there are nearly a 10 or 20 minutes time difference between life and sim. I've noticed that the data doesn't seem to poll quick enough when I watch the logs. One would expect that arriving aircraft should match live at least if you consider that they aren't being held up by atc.
I installed FSLTL yesterday, but i could not figure out to get the traffic moving. In the traffic injector all the traffic also had the same destination as the origin airport so I don't know what I am doing wrong. My ground vehicle density is not set to zero as well, so anyone can help me out? Maybe it has to do with SU11?
If the origin and dest are the same that means they are parked aircraft. There are some issues regards SU11 but you should still see some movement. What did you have your 'Active IFR Aircraft' set to? This and the VFR setting will affect what movements you see. Also bearing in mind the data for these settings is live from FR24 therefore you will also need to be at an airport that actually has movements in the real world to see active traffic.
My injector is not working at all no aircraft are being injected into the sim double checked that there’s no Aig add on conflicts but still nothing my mistake one light aircraft so far and that’s at large airport’s please help needed
Hi all! Hopefully my question may be answered here :). Just installed the FbW installer, the base models and the injector, I have no other addons to my sim which I just reinstalled entirely before downloading FSLTL! When I launch the sim, place myself at an airport, and run the FbW in the background, I try and open the flight injector, and my command prompt opens briefly but closes immediately after, leaving me with no options for setting the injector! Neither does it work when trying to run the .exe via the community folder (even when I attempt to run as an admin). Anyone having the same issue and/or got the fix? 😎 cheers!

Do you have more than one VMR? Sometimes this is normal. As we don't have all models covered yet. You can also check what aircraft a user logged in with + their callsign by typing .aircraft in vPilot and then comparing against what you have available in FSLTL.
for cinematic video creator like me . aircraft parked is more than enough as it's help me to create video in beautiful way . but sound effects of aircraft landing and take off sometime can be heard in background while I was at gate
I installed it 3 days ago. Got nothing else than mega stuter,screen freeze and ctd. Both AIG and FSLTL installed simultaneously, but no ai traffic visible at all. I uninstalled FSLTL and kept AIG. Ai traffic went back to normal. It is simply not working for my medium rig computer
Fair enough! If you want to give it another go I'd try double checking your community folder for any dodgy symbolic links, you can also check your log to see what's going on.
@@BobbyFuzzy ok, you convinced me. I'll give it another shot. But this time, I'll remove entirely AIG from my community folder. Hope it's going to work. I was just hoping to use both FSLTL and AIG simultaneously, since FSLTL library is not as complete as the AIG.....so i've heard. I hope i'm wrong.
You are correct and they should work fine together but we've had reports of some incomplete and misplaced AIG packages that causes the issues that you've seen. AIG can cover some of the models we don't have but we do have a pretty big library, it doesn't bother me too much there being a few missing. In a future update we are adding the ability to hide generic or white liveries too.
@@BobbyFuzzy okay, so deleted all aig folder, reinstalled fsltl, base modell, plus injector. Injected traffic at EGLL....NO aircrafts to be seen...at all. The jetways are moving and in place but with ghosts aircraft to feed. Any idea what i am doing wrong ?!?
Sounds like an issue with the models folder possibly, are you using addons linker or similar? Also is your installation folder set properly in the FBW launcher? - check your log (%appdata%\fsltl-trafficinjector) or by all means come to discord and post it there and we can take a look.
@@BobbyFuzzy I mean I went to Heathrow, I get takeoffs but barely any landings. I looked on the FSTL website and they only have 300 active live aircraft in the sky at the moment. Something ain’t right.
@@KillingSpree193 Where did you go on the FSLTL website? FSLTL pulls data from FR24 so we are unable to give that information. As I said - the main issue you are seeing is something introduced by Asobo and is being looked into.
@@BobbyFuzzy I changed the traffic to off on real life and all the traffic loads then. But the issues is. That loads all that generic rubbish. Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon!. Because it was a working product before the update. It’s like asobo do it on purpose.
@@richiriboldi8408 If they are ghosts this means you are hitting the upper object limit in MSFS. I would first going to Options > Traffic and turn down some of the options in there e.g. boats, cars etc. Second you will need to lower the number of injected aircraft by FSLTL. So lower your settings in the injector and see if that helps.
Thank you for the video. I have FSLTL up and running with no issues, but im keen to enhance the airports by using some of AIGs models- i had this successfully working until FSLTLs release. I have all the AIG aircraft, but FSLTL does not fall back and recognise them- for example an A380. I have moved the AIG aircraft files into the FSLTL Sim objects- airplanes folder but i still dont see them. Would you, or anybody able to provide a step buy step guide on how to have the AIG aircraft being used by FSLTL please?
No worries! You don't need to do anything with the AIG models. Just leave the OCI directory in your community as before and FSLTL will use it as a fallback.
So having tried fsltl with AIG, i have not seen any of the aig models. They are all still present in their oci folder, but fs ltl does not seem to recognise or find them. Any suggestions?
@@BobbyFuzzy Thanks, good I can't get my FBW to work, The Sim recognises the aircraft, tries to load the flight but fails to load and just stops ate the splash screen, All other aircaft work ok
@@BobbyFuzzy Still no progress. I left a flight to start, after about 90mins it still hadn't fully loaded/started - just the splash screen. Any other ideas why FBW A320 flights aren't fully starting?
Feel free to come over to the discord, we'd need your log to diagnose this properly. One thing you can easily try though is to drag the fsltl-trafficinjector package to your desktop and try launching from there.
@@BobbyFuzzy now I see one plane. A388 no liveries and basic msfs model. The injector tell me that generic liveries and planes will be used. I have fsltl toolbar but nothing else.
I got a lot of experience on IVAO before moving to VATSIM. It can be a bit quieter and the controllers are a bit more casual which is good for people new to online ATC.
