Would have been nice to hear the effect on the Audio of a SSB QSO. I found the FTdx10 DNF added too much distortion to my liking. I was told the 991A was better. Thanx for the vid.

I found that when I turn on the Digital Notch Filter (DNF) it messes with CW signals... so you may not want to use it when you are using CW mode. Just sayin' :)

I have a FT 991 and the receive is not as good as the receive on my FT 818 on VHF, I believe I need to turn on a pre-amp but the IPO only seems to work on HF frequencies.. any suggestion (I use want to use the FT 991 as an IF radio) Mike VE3UET

Hi Mike, you are correct, the IPO options are only available in HF+6m bands. In my FT-991A is the same. 73, VA3HDL

To bad yaesu doesn’t fix the multitude of bugs in this radio. One big one is the audio EQ output on voice does NOT work while running VOX mode. PTT via mic yes…..via VOX enabled no go….flat audio as if EQ turned off.
