That truck felt like it glide. Good name for it: Pete 389 Glider. For some reason Mont Eagle was also called 'The Rock' by us. It's short and steep. It can be a killer. Around 18:13 you talked about that revenue collector there on The Rock. You mentioned that he's pretty much a permanent fixture there. I see why though, mainly because of the four wheelers. Most of them can't drive; always in a big hurry to go nowhere, lol.
I would say that big rigs are flying down the same speed as cars are around here. Some of these guys are just reckless. In one of my other videos you can see these trucks flying down that mountain like it’s nothing. Not realizing how dangerous that can be.

At the 25:40 minute area that dude on the opposite side of the hwy, picking up scrap metal that you mentioned, definately could have been road splatter if someone wasn't paying attention & didn't see him. Haven’t driven for as long as you have but I’ve also had only one speeding ticket in the truck. Got it in Pontiac, IL back in 2007 when speed limit for semi trucks was 55
my son is out there somewhere with a long nozed pete early 2024 ive tryed to contact him for 2 mnths no answer.dunno what his deal is.he was so proud of that pete showed me pictures before he got it on his phone and he vanished havent heard a thing for 2 mnths
Drivers, don’t ever tell a State Trooper to give you a TICKET 🎫 over a WARNING. The reason Companies don’t like Warnings is because it goes against their AUTHORITY not the drivers CDL, a warning means the Trooper felt the Violation wasn’t Serious and you were cool with him on the road. 😂 trust me, you never want to go to court to fight a Speeding Ticket when you could’ve just gotten a Warning 😂, any Lawyer who tells you that asking for a ticket is better 😂, just needs the money. 😂 I’ve had 3 Warnings, 2 in 2020 and 1 in 2021 , NON of them are on my MVR as a CONVICTION, which lets employers know they were just warnings. NO POINTS ON CSA SCORE!!

I think I cut that part out because I was going around scales and talking about. I started out in Chattanooga and going up that mountain, that’s Mount Eagle.
@@OTRBandit Funny thing Daniel, I thought the same thing. One reason I got into it like I did was my son. I taught him everything I knew down to floating gears. My Pete was a Super 10 transmission. He loved that truck.
