I deliver Gas and diesel home everyday and work MAYBE 50 hours a week. I brought home 90K last year. Delivering fuel is the way to go.

I always recommend getting into specialized divisions. Tankers, doubles, auto transport. They have better pay, better benefits, better home time.

I'm so jealous. I'm about to be 30 in April. I work for the salvation army. I make 8.07 an hour. I net about 720 dollars a month. I wish I made more money to live on.

I made 80k on my very 1st year doing gasoline,is NOT for everybody,same goes with flat beds or car hauling. Im doing a dedicated account for WAWA( famous gas stations in NJ,DE,MD and FL) I do like 4 gas stations per night 10 hour shift,home every day and tuesday to saturday( u can be more pickie when u have 2 years experience) I have a possiblity of hitting 100k if i ever decide to switch over to NITROGEN. (My trainer makes 130k+ and he only got 7 years total cdl experience,I started back in 98 with CRST)

If you are a new driver to the industry I would recommend starting with Schneider because they have a 21 day tanker training program all paid for and will hire brand new drivers.

Something that may help new drivers is oil field water hauling you'll make around 80k a year and don't need any experience and you can get your 2 year experience to be able to haul fuel

He’s absolutely right about Loves fuel haulers (I am one) we average $65k/yr throughout the nation. Of course other parts of the country pay higher. For example in the SW U.S. we probably avg $75k/yr. It is by far the easiest trucking job I’ve ever been paid for. As I’m sure you know all we do is service the Loves t/s. I did a short 4yrs OTR and I wouldn’t trade being home nightly for $100k OTR job. No disrespect to our OTR drivers but it’s a huge perk for me being home with my family every night. Stay safe drivers!

Never dont get an endorsement if you can. Especially in the beginning of your career. No sense in closing any doors. I grabbed my doubles and triples for no particular reason and now I run doubles and I make $102,000 year.

After uncle sam gets ahold of me in N.C ill be BRINGING HOME 65k a yr...facts! Oh yea thats with the worst schedule in the world also! Fri-wed 12-14 a day night shift...

Yeah, that guys was awesome! Used tanker trucks are always maticously maintained. If you can find one for a good deal ... Grab it! They might only be daycabs, but I've seen a few sleepers.

When I first started driving 15years ago, Schneider was offering tanker positions for student drivers. I got my feet wet in their dryvan division, but if I would have known tank was an option, that’s what I would have done. Best hometime you’ll get is with tank or touch freight.

You showed the truck company at the beginning of the video. Haha

Schneider also will sometimes have a sign on bonus, one question to ask the recruiter if anyone is looking into Schneider for the tanker division. Also if you are looking to get your class A license they will put you through their trucking school which if you pass it is a one year commitment they have you sign. I came into Schneider with my class A and all my endorsements, so I got a $8,000 sign on bonus.

its absolutly true. i got my first chance to haul fuel just 14 months into the game. I'm now making 5 grand a month home daily and off on the weekends. the experienced guys make even more.

I drive for a beer distributing company and my contracts almost up in about 7 months. I work too hard and my route brings me home late most days. I beat up my body just trying to finish a little earlier. I wouldn’t mind any of this if the salary was right. My next step is to be a tanker. Just found your channel and I’m binge watching. One of the main factors to making great money and having decent benefits as a fuel hauler is what CARRIER you work for. Wages and benefits can vary greatly, so do your homework before signing on with any trucking company.

I work in the oilfield in West Texas hauling fuel. I thank the Lord with my job because I make $400-500 a day, averaging 12 hr day and home every night. Oilfield is a good place to start making good money driving Hazmat!

Work 4 days/per week, but Im only at 50k/yr but my tank wont blow up a city block. I have hzmat but never use it. I renew it though just in case.

I haul LP gas liquefied petroleum gas. Butane and propane. You will make between $70,000 to a $100,000 every year as a company driver and be home most of the time depending on your company and where you live. I'm in south Louisiana.

Yes, you can make a lot more money hauling hazard tank. I’ve been driving for 25yrs now I drive acid either 28% or 36% and I make a min of 1400.00 per week. Now that’s in the energy end , which is a pain and tough. Hauling gas or diesel you should make no less than 20.00 hr . Now in order to do this you need experience, for what I do you need a lot of experience, acid is very heavy and beats you there’s no baffling. Fuel , gas things like that are in separate compartments but gas is very unstable with all the crap they put in it. If your new to driving here’s my advice always push yourself to drive different equipment like flat bed, tank, refer buckets etc because pulling special freight pays more than just van general stuff also I prefer % pay over mileage or hourly. The HazMat endorsement will cost you $150-200. Whether you get HazMat or not, get your tanker endorsement even if you plan to haul dry van or reefer. Tanker endorsement is required for certain freight that rides inside of dry vans or reefer trailers. Tanker endorsement is just a test on the computer at the DMV, maybe $20. Newbies have to pass General Knowledge, Combination, Air Brakes for Class A CDL. They should also add Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and HazMat if you can afford it. HazMat is not a guarantee of more pay, but not having it is a guarantee you cannot get certain jobs. Why volunteer to be kept out of certain jobs? You have to renew HazMat and retake the test on computer each time you renew it. All of the other endorsements do not require you re-take any of the tests. Once you have them you keep them.

Good video. I drive Heavy Haul lowboy for a road construction company but I'm just local. I hear what some of the guys are making doing Heavy Haul OTR feel like I should bring Lube to work.

Just be an LTL Line Haul/Road Driver. You'll average around $85k a year with $100k easily achievable in some parts of the US and you're home pretty much every night. I hit $94k last year running 5 days a week 10-12 hours a day. I'm 23 with no kids so it's good enough for me lmao

I have all my endorsements and my friend got me an opportunity at a company called PTC out of the tanker division here in Selma NC , I know for sure out here tankers are starting out at $55k a year with no tanker experience at eagle's transport because I know a few drivers, I know driver's at PTC that started out at $60k without any experience, my friend been at the company for 4 year's and he grossed $92k last year , he works 3rd shift and that's where the money is . Hours suck but it pays the best. It took them them them 3 weeks to call me back for the second interview and I already got a job by then so I didn't take the opportunity.

Water weenie companies are hiring ALL over the oil field in west Texas. They'll give new drivers experience in tankers. I broke out in one. Quit after three weeks because of equipment failures. Switched to hauling chemical totes and have worked towards my goals. If you want tanker out of school, go to a water weenie company. Try to find one with decent equipment though.... lol

Prime and Schneider both have tanker as an option and both are starter mega carrier companies.

When getting your CDL don't limit yourself make you some unlimited get all the endorsements even if you dont use them this way you're flexible no matter where you go. And if you really want to try out tankers tryout Schneider. Schneider does tankers too. now if you don't like it you can always go back to the drive van with Schneider this way you not hopping different jobs trying to get your experience.

Owner operators that haul LP gas make between 150000 to 300,000 a year with one truck. Home most of the time also depending where you live and what company you're with.

Home every night sounds good but there's always a catch. Yes you might go home but it's like saying drivers get home every weekend. Trucking companies say that but it's not like leave out Monday morning and get in Friday morning with weekend off. It's usually get in on Saturday and leave out on Sunday. There's always a catch. If there wasn't a catch, everyone else would already have the job.

What about car haulers? I work near a GM plant so I would love to get a cdl and start doing that, love your vids btw

In the southeast, the highend of the pay scale is around 60k a year. But I will say, it is a much better gig than otr driving.

If your in Cali and want to be a tanker start with Pacific tank lines to get your experience. Then go to superior tank lines to make real money. Start at 70k a year. Long hours but good pay.

Depends on how many loads you run. Loading, lifting those hoses & unloading is work.

I drive for one of the “top” travel centers in the US and our base pay is currently at $91,000 a year for a 60 hour week. I live in the southeast so that’s a pretty good income here. I wouldn’t haul flatbed again after pulling a tank.
