Winter has been way to long in my area as well ...got snow in the first bit of may. It did not stay but it still happened lol I am not in Canada either. Just agreeing that winter over stayed it's welcome

Wow you must have been really snowed in early to leave her out in the elements like that. I picked up a ‘99 MTD for the sole purpose of leaf mulching. She runs good with a 14.5.B&S engine. I plan to rewire it as you so masterfully demonstrated in an earlier video that is second to none. So as a non racer I am curious as to the appeal of lawn mower racing. It’s a big deal here in the South. Safety issues aside, is it more thrilling and satisfying to race a relatively low speeds compared to ATVs? Do you snowmobile in the winter? Thanks and keep wrenching with the camera running!

Run the cast, the spindle will bend long before the axle breaks. Plus if you hit somrthing hard enough to snap a good cast axle, chances are, you are gonna be hurting Lol.

Standard Murray front steering angle. The drag links take a beating.... I have replaced, repaired quite a few.

Hey great job love your stuff I'm wondering if there is a difference in pulleys i bought a 2inch cast pulley put it on my L100 JD it is fast but feels slippy in higher gear is there a difference between the cast pulley rather than the steel ones as far as belt grabbing

Fugazi fired right up. It does take a bit to get the fuel sucked up into the carburetor though when just pull starting one. Doc, I have a question for ya. I have a 22 horse Briggs V-Twin on my Murray that I finally got it to quit speeding up in its own but I cant seem to get my idle down from 1700 or so RPM. The governor is properly adjusted. What do I need to do??
