I don’t think they’re building up to Jon having powers. I think he already has them. All he suffered from blocking Jordan’s super-punch was a broken arm (a normal human’s arm would’ve been crushed with that kind of force), and he straight-up dodged heat vision.

Honestly I want Jon to have powers.

I'm pretty sure Morgan Edge doesn't know about Clark's relationship with Lois or the dual identity or about heritage of the twins. Spoilers: I think he's building an army to reestablish Kryptonian civilization and truly wants his brother. In the Evil Superman's world, Clark was alone and joined his brother out of a desire to finally be not alone and "normal". In this world, he has a family and doesn't need to do that as he has the " I'm not alone" barrier crossed.

Loving this show, but something that bothers me on reflection of this idea they have with putting kryptonian consciousness's in human bodies.. why does that give them super powers? Supermans powers come from his kryptonian cells and our yellow sun.. so does the machine that put the minds in the human bodies change their bodies into kryptonian bodies..? if that were the case would they not still have super powers after the solar flare thing drove them all out of the human bodies?
