Hey thank you for the information. I just installed Function Form Type-2 Coilovers. in a 05 Acura TL. My ride is a little rough on the city streets. But the highway is great. I have to go back and adjust my dampings for a little softer ride.
I know everyone want the coilovers to lower their car but I'm trying to raise mine. I'm going to be getting bigger and wider tires soon. But the tires are going to rub if I don't raise it up more. I have type 1 coilovers and I maxed it as high as I could go. Will the type 2 coilovers go higher than the type 1?
I see you posted this years ago but, I have a ride with wider tires and I'm trying to find suspension to keep from rubbing. Did you happen to find suspension and if you did what did the job?
I installed these on my 2019 sti the fronts wont go as low as my rears tried adjusting like you said but the knuckle does not line up with my car so I can’t put both bolts in when trying to lower the coilovers and I have tried it with them on my car where I just move the strut still does not go lower
I have a 2003 civic and want to get function and form coilovers but don't know if I should get type 1s or 2s. My car will never see a track it's just a daily. Just getting these coilovers for a stance look. But what would you recommend for daily driving ? Type 1 or 2s?
Type-1 will have more than enough performance and ability to lower your car to where you want. I have seen Type-1's tuck the wheels all around. I hope that helps
no, but they do include a tape measure to be able to adjust all 4 corners the same height. Maybe reference a few pictures on some civic forums of the eibach pro kit, so you can gauge how much of a drop you are looking for. I hope that helps!
my 2004 Honda civic suspension is just straight crap. I drive a lot thru out the day and week I need something that lowers and has great performance on the road should I get type 1s or 2s.
FF actually stopped production of the 01-05 Civic kits awhile ago. So any you see out in the market today is old stock. TEIN is a good option for you if you are interested.
I disagree with him as Type 2 is 12k front and 8k rear with more dampening adjustment 32. K1 are softer with 10k front and 6k rear with only 12 levels of dampening.type 2 over k1 for track for sure.if you want k tuned and want better than type 2 you need the k2
Hey dude, my friend is having a though time picking between these type 2 coils or if he should get tein street basis z. He doesn’t want to go slammed and wants it to be his daily driver. What do you think he should get? Thanks
The front coilovers will come with Top Mounts that adjust camber, but some SPC bolts would also help up front. For the rear, we have numerous brands, from K-Tuned to Skunk2. Hit us up if your interested!
yes for daily driving they will work great. yurparts.com/i-24080351-function-and-form-type-1-full-coilovers-for-90-97-honda-accord.html?ref=category:1231937
Function Form Type 1 and Type-2 or K-Tuned Street Coilovers. KW and ST Coilovers are also VERY nice. Those are the only brands I would choose for a Honda
All depends on your budget. I am not a stance guy, so I believe is correct camber, and only lowering the car to a height that is drivable through normal streets.
thanks. my damper knob seems to be broken. when I turn it to adjust the dampening it doesn't click nor stop turning after 16 clicks to right nor left. any suggestions, please. thanks again.
Function Form Type-1 or TEIN Basis Z. Either one is a great choice. The Basis Z will retain the stock upper mount, which will reduce noise and also leave you with a little more bushing.
