Genius scene! I love how the old man laughs everytime the junkie nods out, startling him awake. LOL and Michael Winslow!! my god is he hysterical in this scene. oooh baby!!! awww SHUT UP!
Old man laughing is John Steadman . Born 1909 ; died 1993. movie career began in 1970. Best known character was "Pops" in The Longest Yard (1974) was also in The Hills Have Eyes (1977)
John Steadman. He's also playing in the 4th movie, ''Things are tough all over''. He's the one trading fuel for car parts, including the car seat hiding all the money. He yell to them as they go '' Hey, there's money under the seat''. Cheech mistakingly thinking it's spare change tell the old guy to keep it... As they're leaving, the old man starts to laught again like in ''Up in smoke'' at the welfare office... I like the idea of using the same group of supporting cast (most of them being family members) over and over again. Even Tommy Chong's wife play in at least 2 movies (the blonde groupie at battle of the band and the rich wife in the next movie. She might also be bad actress always saying ''Help me Wamba'' when Cheech goes on the set to borrow the truck to carry the slot machine. Wow. I saw thoses movies 30 years ago and it's still very detailed in my memory even if I was high as a kite at that time...
